Yes it was a very busy day at the last Test and Tune of the year for me. I had waited over 3 weeks for some good weather to hopefully make that 9 second pass.

I was parked beside another Hellcat owner who I had met a month ago at one the street nights. He and I were the first 2 cars to go down the track. He has a stock REWB Charger. I was sure this would be my 9 second pass. DA is -700. I am in the right he is in the left. Slip below.

This was a new PB for him. I launched at 1500 rpm and went right to the floor on the last yellow. Spun off the line and again in second gear. The 139 mph trap speed did get me my first warning from the track tech people.

Back to the pits lower the drag radials a couple of psi, wait for them to clean up a major oil down .Da is now about -500 Left lane this time. Same launch spinning like crazy, get out of it, jump back on it 11.07 @139. Second warning for over 135. Tech person says I should be gone. I say this one should not count it was an 11.0 run. I convince him to let me go one more time and I will just run the 1/8 mile.

Back to the pits for a WTF moment. The traction at our track on test and tune days is always excellent. Talk to a couple of other racers and they confirm traction is poor. My wife comes down from the stands and says there are many racers aborting and not making a full pass do to the poor traction.

So after only a 15 minute cool down back into the right lane. Not really sure what I am going to do this time? Light launch at 1000 rpm not full throttle right away. Launch feels better than the last two. Ran it through the 1/4. Get to the time slip shack and the kid says they want to see you back at principal's office meaning tech department. Guess I forgot about only running 1/8 mile. Back to tech, make up a story on how I forgot about the 1/8 mile and I agree that was my last run. Third and last run below. Very last run!!!

My fiend with the REWB Charger has 5-6 people with him. I start talking to one of his friends who is asking questions about my car. I admit I may sell it later on. He is now asking what it will take to buy it today. So I toss out a reasonable but strong number. We do not agree on my number. We exchange phone numbers and agree to talk later that night. He calls me that night and I tell him I am not sure about selling the car. After several other conversations in the next couple of days we agree on price. He now has the car. That was my last pass!

Thanks 2.85 upper pulley and Demon injectors. Supporting mods diff brace and 4 inch one piece driveshaft. Something AWD possibly E63 or m5.

I sure thought it would run at least a high 9 second pass that day. MPH was certainly there. Prep is usually very good on weekend test and tunes.. That was also the last weekend the track was open.
do to rain the next weekend. Gave it my best shot !!!

120 lb weight reduction. Passenger, Rear seat and trunk trim.

I sold my ZL1 at a local car show last year. I was just hanging out and was getting stalked by this older dude and his wife. After a few conversations, he asked the question. I gave him a ridiculous number and he didnt flinch. Took a few weeks to get it all nailed out with his credit union and the title work, but he bought it. Thats when I got my hellcat. Wish I never sold that ZL1 honestly.

Hate to bring up a dead Threa, but all it took to get there was a 2.85 pulley, injectors and a tune?
Power wise yes. Supporting mods diff Brace, 4 inch Wiles 1 piece aluminum drive shaft. Best bang for the buck IMO!
