Does the SW have a filter for E85 applications? I understand a filter is good insurance regarding E85's impurities(?).

Tapped Performance offers a plug and play after the pumps filter solution. I use the one with the 5 micron microglass filter element. Works with any pump system as it’s spliced in the fuel line under the car. Every injector company recommends filtering E with a fine filter. Here’s mine installed.

Highly recommend Ricks stuff, he made me a custom harness adapter so I can switch between a Fore based hat or the SW system with just plug and play

Just ordered the SW from his ebay store 1600 otd, Fore filter from Tapped 463 otd and FIC1200s from @CatDaddyB5 at a great price.

Learned that the SW pumps dont have an Anti Drain Back Valve. So youll have to prime the pump in "Run" for a few seconds before cranking the engine.
This allows the unit to be 1050LPH.

Just put it in run, wait 3 seconds then hit start, should be fine that way. If it gets annoying a Fore check valve can be put in the line right after the filter assembly. It’s a bigger check valve then used in the pumps so it doesn’t cause much restriction.
Fore site says not to use on returnless systems, unless you have a pressure release valve. FCV Check Valve (foreinnovations.com)

TI Automotive F90000295 Fuel Pump

The "race only" F90000295 is now our highest performing fuel pump that we offer for in-tank applications. This pump is identical in form factor to the F90000267,F90000274, and F90000285 but has an even higher output. Like the F90000274 and F90000285, this fuel pump has a high pressure relief valve for high boost applications. Since this pump does NOT have an internal checkvalve (for performance reasons), it cannot be used as a secondary pump in staged applications.


The SW uses the 295.

So what happens, if anything, to.performance when E85 is more like E80?

There is no difference in starting the car with these pumps even tho they don’t have check valves. I start my car normally just fine. No priming.
Luke himself said dont try to start right away or itll just crank alot longer. He said give it a few seconds (unitl the pump stops priming, youll hear it) then turn it over. Hey if it doesnt need it then great, I was gonna wait on a Fore FCV to see.
Will E content vary from brand to brand (Shell, Chevron, Sunoco) or is it all from the same tanker of E?

Rick tapp himself said it’s not an issue when I was inquiring about this same topic. My car fires up right away just like it did stock.
As for the fuel question, e content does vary from station brand to station brand. For example, in April when I went e85 I tested 2 stations, Sheetz and speedway. Sheetz tested at 72% ethanol and was cloudy while speedway tested at 85% and was clear.
