Hi guys,

Just traded in my 2018 Mustang GT for a new 2021 Hellcat Redeye narrowbody. Are there any basic mods that you guys would recommend? Want to keep it warranty-friendly, I'm assuming Chrysler is like Ford and will void you when you tune it (or pulley). Is an aftermarket CAI useless on these cars too? Any good source for new wheels? I'm on the 275 all seasons and not a fan of the black 5 spokes so I want to replace them ASAP. Very happy with how badass this thing is from the factory so far

Thanks

Didn't do this with my Hellcat but I would consider replacing the Pirelli all season tires with Pirelli (or maybe Michelin) summer/high performance tires. The factory fitted all season tires were crap. I didn't realize how bad they were until I got a 2020 Scat Pack with Pirelli summer/high performance tires. Difference was night vs. day. The high performance tires still will not tame 707hp but do provide much better grip at all times.

There is no need for a cold air intake. The Hellcat air intake is located at the front of the car.

Besides the supercharger heats the intake air and about 30F over ambient is the least amount of heating I observed with my 2018 Hellcat.

Yeah I will definitely be getting wheels and tires. I had 325s on my Mustang with only 470rwhp so this car with 275s is a joke. Once I hit 100 miles I did a quick WOT and it broke traction at 75mph. Did you guys all follow the break in procedure in the manual? It looks like I should take it easy for 500 miles

Yes, try to follow. It seems to effect the whine from the rear differential to be broke in gently. The engine could give a rip.

I would say maybe an intake tube like a legmaker would give more sc sound and aid down the road if you did a larger TB and port work.
A passenger side oil catch can is a must.
That is about it besides exhaust mods.
Then you have emblem and marker light mods also.

I already ordered a set of bronze Daytona wheels and will run some 315s out back. Catch can, will order now. Will the intake tube give me any power or is it just for noise?

You will not see anything noticeable from an intake without tuning, it would only be for sc whine. Down the road with tuning, larger TB, and sc port work it would be beneficial.

You won't see any benefit from a CAI on a 2021 Challenger Redeye. Those that had the older hood and airbox on the 2018 and older Helcats had a far more constrictive air box assembly. Yours does not. Don't waste your money on a CAI.

I can tell you along with the others that running 315s is the way to go. I have them (along with some Vossen aftermarket wheels) on my narrow body. What tires did you order (brand/model)?

Thats incorrect, you will see a gain with an a/m intake vs the stock rubber rib. Always. Not much, but always, always on the top end. As I posted above, with a larger TB, port work, and tune, the intake tube will make a difference. Likely 20hp-ish. I bet less than 10 on a stock car on the top end.
BUT, I would not take a shielded/sealed RE intake off for a tube with a filter on the end. Engine heat will be a factor. Must keep the filter housing box.
And for anyone that thinks 10-20hp for $400 is not worth it, you will down the road if you keep modding.

He also said in his initial post that he "Want to keep it warranty-friendly" which means he can't do a tune. A CAI and tube on a stock setup without a tune will likely end in a 0 gain (or close to it). If he gets a tune, the warranty is gone....

I was keeping it warranty friendly..

A tube or CAI will not effect the warranty.
Aftermarket wheels do not void the warranty on wheel bearings, axles, and suspension components, right?.....

It is a supporting mod that will gain 10hp or less on the top end of a stock car. Gain more down the road with what I listed as future mods and tuning.
There is not much to do to the car if you are worried about warranty.
Emblems, tire shine, dress-up items.

A LMI would give it more SC sound as well, not hurt the warranty.
Again, would recommend a kit that uses the factory RE box to keep intake temps down
Any data or hp gains on a dyno are different than a heat soaked intake in traffic on the streets.
Not even sure if LMI makes a kit for the RE or not.....

I haven't decided on the tires yet, not a lot of sizes available in the brands I usually get. Maybe I'll go with the Continental Extremecontacts

I doubt they would, but your drivetrain warranty could be voided for running a different size tire. I read that somewhere in an FCA publication.
