how did it feel at that speed? Any shimmy in the wheel?
From what I hear? ;)......it was Flawless! No Shimmy, no nothing. Hard to pay too much attention to anything but just going straight at that speed...but at 120-140 the car feels the same as 80. This car continue to blows me away.

Could've gone further but heard a noise that sounded like a siren and slowed down quickly. It wasn't a siren, but it got the speed to stop!

Very nice! Is that the fastest "someone" has ever been in a car yet, or just the fastest that person has been in his/her Hellcat?

wow, that person already has almost 4,000 miles on their Hellcat! Good to see him/her is thoroughly enjoying the car the way it was intended!

I'm really happy for your friend. They were lucky to have an open freeway. I have to wait for a track.:( Wish they would close s stretch of freeway for me so I could do that. I do know that 100 feels like about 60 in a normal car. :D

Fastest ever. Previous was 153, also in the HC!

2,500 of the miles came from driving the Cat home from Arizona to Philly.

But it's been a month now and i still can't wait to get in and drive every day.

Not me ;) ....but I HEARD....

Someone had a nice straight line on the highway last night and got a new Top Speed. View attachment 11131
You wouldn't be taking pictures and driving almost 60 at the same time would you?! Lol... good top speed. Too windy here for that. 145 so far is it. Waiting for a good stretch. I want 180 on that screen someday.

Okay, your the person. Was out this afternoon and a couple of crotch rockets gave me a look than the light turned green. One I lost in my review within 3 seconds the other was pretty much neck and neck with me to about a buck thirty. He tried to become part of his gas tank to get more speed but I was surely and quickly starting to pull away. At about 155 this rushing wind sound all of a sudden came out of nowhere like a cracked open window? It sought of startled me and I laid back at that point. Any noted noise after you crossed 150? That sought of sounds stupid I know but it really took on an indescribable sound or noise. I wasn't sure if it was the blower or my gas tank collapsing from sucking up so much fuel. Okay, the fuel thing is a joke, I hope but it's never far to gas station in my little Charger. Other than that the car was steady as a rock and I could have easily knocked out another 20 mph and felt comfortable.

ABSOLUTELY!!! If you read the whole post...there was a noise I heard (resembled a siren or something). That's what drew attention from the road to slow the car down.

It must be SOMETHING! Anyone else here up that high hear the same thing?

Thanks, I'm sorry I didn't catch the whole post, all I saw was this gigantic picture of "162". I have a G8 GXP and had her to the limiter at 155 and it was as quiet there as 100 and it handled just as well. I actually went back and checked the top speed and I backed off at 152, that's when that noise kicked in so figure a buck fifty or so was when I noticed it. Fun stuff though. Be safe.
