sorry but in my opinion, "nice" and "electric" should not be used in the same sentence. I want nothing to do with any EV for any reason whether from Dodge or anyone else. I hope it's an epic failure so the manufacturer can give us, the consumer, what we want lol. just my opinion, I don't need to hear all the reasons why EV is coming and the future and better blah blah blah...

It's funny to me why Ford is keeping their 302 around through 2028 and into the new mustang model yet dodge's hands are tied and must go electric/kiill the hellcat? I do not want a mustang but if they can continue their V8's why can't we? just saying.

I can't wait to order one. I ordered a Blazer SS 550HP/660TQ for my chic, and I'll get the Daytona. I can't wait to start saving the planet......... I'll sell my Hellcat to cover the cost for both.....

I don't have any issue with people wanting to drive an EV, just don't want it forced upon all of us : )

It's still no where near ideal for many situations, like mine, as I drive a lot for work and I have 3 cars at home, my panel is already at its max. plus I prefer the sound and feel of an ICE motor. call me old I guess.

Lastly, in my opinion, I'm not sure this will actually save the planet.. .sure while it's driving it does not emit fumes however many forget all the coal, oil, & fossil fuels that go into not only the huge battery, but all the parts of the car. Not to mention almost every part of the ICE motor once finished, is actually able to be recycled... a lithium battery is not... so in the end, it's probably close to a wash as for the part of saving the planet? Also, the up front cost of the EV compared is still substantially more compared to ICE .. so any cost savings over gas is probably close to negated depending on ones mileage... so in the end, the monetary and environmental savings are probably close to the same.. again this is just my opinion, I'm not engineer or scientist but I hope they don't kill the v8 permanently and I thought more people here (hellcat and scat pack) owners would feel the same... perhaps I'm way off and these will sell like hotcakes.. time will tell.. i certainly hope not.
