So I have had them on for a couple weeks now and thought I would share my experience. I mainly put them on for straight line traction and being able to go to the track air them down and turn 10's.

They are a little wobbly feeling in the corners and I'm sure I'm giving up grip compared to the stock summer tires. In the rain they have been really good, better than I expected.

At the track they performed well and hooked up to a 11.00 at 124.9 mph pass. Had a 15 mph headwind and DA of 2020 ft so I think without those things I would have ran a high 10.

Overall happy with them, but would put something else on if you are going to the road course.

Thanks for the info Buddy. I am getting these installed tommorow. Would you say in general they are wobbly in the turns at all speeds or was this during a more spirited session? Would you say that the trade off is worth it even if, in my case, the track would rarely be seen? I don't want to give up grip. I want grip. Of course I have the all seasons now.

They just feel different, not super confidence inspiring in the turns. They do actually stick better than you think though.

buddyg,
I have heard that the Nitto's run a smaller than other tires, do you find that to be true?
I want to put them on my Charger, would you anticipate any problems with rubbing the fender /fender well?
I was going to use them just driving around and the strip, it's not a daily driver, the tires would not see rain or crazy corning....... Would you recommend them for this kind of use?
THANKS for your input!

What size did you use? 275s or 305s?

What PSI? And have you tried a different PSI to see if the wobbly feel goes away?

I'm planning to use these as full time rear tires.
32-34 street and 17 at the track

Not sure if they are smaller but they fit fine with no rubbing. Just fine for your intended use.

very happy with my nitto's......heat them up slightly and they stick like glue on the street

i dont do fast turns anyways (dont trust a heavy car)...the car is designed for straight lines anyways, sure they do their best to give it some ability to handle corners, but you cant make a 4500 pig compete with a Z06 around a corner

if your considering these tires get them...i have 0 regrets

for rain they are supposed to be the best DR

i drive mine on weekends and never any rain...so they are perfect for me

Did you have any problems getting the local shop to install the 305's on the stock rims. I read some guy could not find an installer due to them all saying there is safety issues with a tire that wide on the 275's. I know they make them in stock size also so did you consider the same tire in 275?

No issues whatsoever. The Nitto is not as wide as some other 305's so there are no issues.
