Hello mopar fans. I was told by my dealer that now there is no limited production on the 2015 challenger hellcat. That has its pros and cons. at first I was hoping for a limited production to make the hellcat a car u wont pass yourself in while out for a drive on a sunny day. now I was told no limit to the production. In all that might be a good thing. I got on the list late at my dealers and thought I might be out of luck. It all looks good now cause my dodge dealer told me he could get me one of every color if I want them. I think one sub-lime (slime) green is going to be a lot of fun.

That is good news. To me it shows that SRT really wants to build a fan base rather than exclusivity. Now we have to see how the dealers will react with regard to pricing,
I feel like a 56 yr old kid waiting on christmas morn.

if your dealer wants anymore then the msrp let me know and we will help find one that wont add any money on to it.

I fill out my build slip on Thursday. My dealer was told on Tuesday that they are allocated only two. I wonder if they are pulling my leg? It's Billion Dodge in Sioux Falls, SD. They are a pretty large dealer.
My dodge dealer is Kuntz Motore in Mahaffey Pa.. Jim Prisk the sales rep told me if I wanted one of every color he could get it for me. All at MSRP and not a dime over it. I think somebody is feeding you bull. check around other places an see what they say.

I did read an article that they will produce as many as demand requires for 2015 but, I would not count on a 2016 model as I read that by 2016 all car manufacturers have to have an average mpg of 37.5 for their car fleet and 25 something for their trucks. Since the Dart is their only economical car, the Hellcat really blows that mpg out so I am not expecting this engine will be available for too long. Would love to know what the experts think on this. I just know that I got my order in as soon as I was able too.

Your Dodge dealer can only get what Chrysler allocates him.

I read that too. It is based on their total sales. I heard the sales for the previous 90 days determined the number they got to order in September (my dealer got 2 and I got 1 of them) and then the sales over the last 180 days for the December order. It went on to state that if they did not move the Hellcats in stock, they would not be able to order more. I think I read that in one of the other treads on this forum.

I actually had a dealer tell me that they were charging $20k over MSRP. I, of course, told him to shove it and walked out.. I went to the dealer I have bought my last 4 Dodge's from and they said just MSRP, no overages. The salesman from the first store actually called me to follow up and I sent him a copy of my order with the MSRP told him his boss was an as*.

The "no limit on production" is, most likely, a gross overstatement. From what information that has been made public, there is defiantly a limited capacity, parts and manufacturing, for these cars. This makes the number available for sale self limiting and does not require a Corporate policy to hold the number down. A wonderful example of Corporate double speak.

One of our local dealers couldn't get the Hellcat because they didn't have an allocation same from two other dealers. Sister dealer to Pishkie Motors ordered my wife a Pearl White with red and black interior. Limited options on the first go round but worth it. Now waiting to order the Charger to match. Find a dealer that knows the facts you'll be happy you did. We are.

I have a question: is everyone getting email confirmation from Dodge when their order is confirmed? My dealer is saying to expect a message from Dodge when the car is "hard scheduled" to be built. Not sure about this, and the dealership is not giving me a V.O.N as of today. Any info is appreciated.

No, my dealer is the one that sent me his report that showed the VIN and D status, which means all the parts are in for the build. I called SRT today to clear up the emissions delay rumor and they told me that they do not have a production start date yet but that they shut down regular operation 1 day a week to build high production SRTs. He said they think they will shut regular production 2 days a week for the Hellcat. No start date set yet but emissions is NOT an issue.:)
