Tonight me and the family went to a hot rod night out in Austin. My teen age boys love modern and classic muscle cars. So we stop to take a look at the classic muscle cars and the hellcat didn't get any love. At list my kids enjoyed looking at a the old classics.

I set up my one man hellcat car show in font of my house.

Thanks bro
The bad part of it all was we got to the show late and it was mostly the classic car owners hanging around.

Drove my '56 Chrysler to a cruise last night. It always gets lots of attention, especially the Gen 1 hemi. Several of my friends there know I'm getting the Hellcat next week and I had to promise to drive it to the cruise next month. I'll drive it to a couple other cruises before that one rolls around again.

It was intimidation that kept em away. These Hellcats scare the crap outta people. Give it time and they'll warm up and then you won't be able to back her out of the garage without a crowd.

Yeah, me too. I was planning to take my AAR to a local show and was begged by a few people to bring the hellcat instead. When I got there, they cleared a front and center parking space (they made a 69 Camaro move...) and the car was the star of the show all day. I was horse by the time I left just talking about the car with everyone who wanted to know all about. A friend said It was like taking Jennifer Aniston naked to a car show.

I think there are old car guys and new car guys. Then there are just car guys. I am a car guy. I can appreciate the old and new. I think some people can't just appreciate what someone else has. Mostly jeolous? I liked the one car, car show at the house. Classic!

I saw my first Hellcat Challenger in person the other day. I have been waiting on my order since 9/9/14 and will continue to wait but I did find the looks of the Hellcat a little disappointing. My 09 SRT looks better to me, the "black out" look just doesn't do it for me. Also the on I saw was in a color I don't care for. I'm sure once I get the Hellcat and drive it I will be won over. Doesn't surprise me that a Hellcat would not be a big hit at car show with the general public.

My work is supporting a car show for high school kids in auto shop class and my boss asked me to bring my 70 Chevelle SS 454. I told him they would probably like me to bring my Hellcat Challenger. He thinks they would rather see the Chevelle so I will bring both with help from my wife and we will see who is correct.

I was in the market for a 70-72 challenger before getting the hellcat. My wife told me to get the new hellcat cat because I am not a great mechanic.
Some day I will get a classic muscle car.

I have to agree. I belong to the AACA Piedmont chapter here in Central VA. At our monthly Cars & Coffee meets, we usually have more classic cars then modern and the classics usually get more attention. How-ever, when the new Vets and Mustangs show up, the people in attendance always go over to look at the newer cars and talk to their owners. So far, no new Challengers or Chargers have shown up. For that matter, I still haven't seen a new Challenger or Charger on the road in my area yet,,,.

Exactly. It's also take someone who really knows what a hellcat is. That's what I like about it. It's normal to normal people but amazing to people who have knowledge and appreciation.

It's been amazing to me that I hardly ever get any looks in my 'Cat. I figure it's a less flashy color than most, but still you'd think the black hood would get some attention. Oh well, that's not why i bought it anyway!
