No more stock orders?

I just had a dealer email me and say "Effective today, Chrysler won’t be scheduling stock orders for Charger and Challenger Hellcats. They must be sold orders to be scheduled for production." Any truth to that ResumeSpeed?

Well wouldn't that be nice for all those who are still stuck in VON Hell! It may get them their cars finally.
one step closer, but dealers can still make customers give up a sale by refusing to sell it at an "agreed" upon price then throwing into stock. Or ordering them under fake/family names

If somebody from Dodge is reading the messages posted in this forum ( I doubt it) they should be aware of that "trick". But again, that is only a dream that I have

What dealer is that?

Well you should always get your deal in writing and in many states that's a binding contract...not every, but many.

For the fake names...every Sold order would have to have a name on that window sticker, to which I would start searching for that someone should you find one sitting on the showroom that is not sold. Not saying you can't make it up, but there are many online services that can can validate names, addresses, etc. I'm sure this one will be harder to control, but hopefully if this guidance on Sold orders is true, most of the dealerships will do the right thing.

This is what the word on the street is based upon several district meetings that happened this morning. Various other personal sources coming in starting to confirm this.

Could the tides be turning??? If so... I attribute a lot of the influence to change "the process" to this great forum and the people behind it. Things could start getting exciting folks!;)

I think February and March should be fairly exciting for many!

I hope something changes. They have been holding my and every othe built Hellcat at distribution points for more than a week. my FH759117 is bought and paid for but all I can do is look through a fence at the rail yard in Phoenix, AZ to see but not touch my car. Apparently, Dodge's leadership, demonstrating their infinite wisdom, decided to hire independent inspectors to check each Hellcat one more time. SRT Customer Service says they have no idea when the imbiciles above will lift the embargo!
if you have your von # does or does it not mean the car will be built? my dealer had an allocation when I ordered the car. but the order hasn't been picked up. It has a p o c on it. and I am first on his list.

Contact your dealer and try to obtain a VIN from them; Without a VIN, you have no assurance of receiving a Hellcat.

A lot will depend on when you ordered the car and if the dealer had any other Hellcats prior that sat on the lot, unsold for longer than 4 days.

Philip - You have your car and its built - Just stuck in the shipping arena. If you've been watching this forum, a lot of people have had VON's since July to September. I think the point of this thread was to focus on the possibility of Chrysler finally recognizing sold orders have been sitting for too long while dealer stock orders were being built and some sold for much more than MSRP. You're in great shape compared to many others.

A POC (Purchase Order Confirmation) is what generates a VON. As mentioned by X-Men Fiend , nothing is for sure until you're VON has been assigned a VIN.

Too bad their using 4-days as the initial gauge. I say any Cat that sat over 2-days at a dealership should be a hit if it was in the system as a sold order. But I truly like the news being portrayed on this thread. I really hope its a new light for some that have been in VON Hell for too long.
