440 Superbee, You are correct. I have been waiting a long time. I do have a VIN. I wanted to point out additional problems that may confront and delay delivery of their car. I am glad that I am past their point of frustration. Thank you

I hope something changes. They have been holding my and every othe built Hellcat at distribution points for more than a week. my FH759117 is bought and paid for but all I can do is look through a fence at the rail yard in Phoenix, AZ to see but not touch my car. Apparently, Dodge's leadership, demonstrating their infinite wisdom, decided to hire independent inspectors to check each Hellcat one more time. SRT Customer Service says they have no idea when the imbiciles above will lift the embargo!
How and why would you pay for a vehicle that has not been delivered to the dealer? It seems to be very risky to me. I also. Question the dealers ability to sell a car they do Not have. What if it is damaged during transit? Who pays for repairs?

Theoretically you can't pay for it until it's delivered. It's not your car so you can't pay for it. You can give the dealership your money though which they can word like your paying for it now. But they could turn around and ask for 5k more when it arrives, cause it's not yours till the car arrives and the paperwork is signed.

Had this conversation here yesterday in another thread. I honestly don't know what is going through peoples mind handing over a car before the one you want is on the ground, in the flesh. Short of your family owning the dealership, this should never be done no matter how buddy-buddy you are with the dealer, how much money you have, or how many other cars you have to drive.

I have paid the entire, (thousands over MSRP price), for the vehicle. I live two states away and went to Phoenix last week to make final payment and pick up the vehicle. SRT and Dodge said I would be able to take possession on 4 Feb 15. I saw the car in the rail yard. I just can not taouch the car, yet!

I am worried that getting an allocation for my small dealer in a small market is about as good as winning the Power Ball, 1 in 176 million. He is a good friend, honest as they come but isn't some huge dealer. I have a VON in BX, hope it moves on someday to a VIN.

He has sold only 1 hellcat but is one of the largest dealer s in the state should that help? The 1 he sold was an order also?
EVERY dealer out there is "the largest Dodge dealer in the state/region/country" Of the ~15-20 dealers I spoke to around Houston, about 10 of them were the "largest dealer in the city" according to themselves.

What I have been noticing is that in the last few days Cars.com has a lot less Hellcats than, let's say, 2 weeks ago. They used to have around 190 listed and now they have 135. Is there an issue with the production maybe?

And many of them are already sold ( I called more than 10 dealerships yesterday)

I just had a dealer email me and say "Effective today, Chrysler won’t be scheduling stock orders for Charger and Challenger Hellcats. They must be sold orders to be scheduled for production." Any truth to that ResumeSpeed?
Yes it is true. The Dealer I'm dealing with, tried to put my order in and the System would not accept the order. He called his Rep. and was told to put the order in as a sold order and it went right through.

You are extremely lucky. You placed your order today and it is accepted. Many of us here put an order 4, 5 or 6 months ago and still nothing. Go and play the Powerball for tomorrow :)

he didn't get a VIN, his order just went through. What he's saying is dodge is actually stopping stock orders. Sold Orders only now. So if they try to order a car for the lot, it won't let them. They have to punch it in as a sold order and type in the customers info now.

He will get a VIN in a few days if the order went through, I guess.

Errr, the dealer should have been doing that in the first place....why weren't they?? Your POC should have Your name and Address on the bottom, a Priority of Sold Order, and up top in the options listing there should be one option saying "Sold Order". Don't want to scare you, but keep the pressure on this dealer throughout, that would alarm me that they didn't know/do that simple process.

People are so infatuated with these cars they would almost do anything their told. Or who would have known their car would take six months or more to get delivered, Dealers in some cases were saying 6-8 weeks for delivery. My dealer told me at the time of order I should have it by spring. Spring is almost hear and still in
"BX HELL" VIN what's that? Summer Fall maybe 2016, nobody seems to know if you know do tell. Truthfully our American cousins have favorable news that they can look forward to, unlike us Canadians have what Dodge calls "THE LOTTEY SYSTEM" witch means your VON could or not be picked for build no matter when you've ordered July 2014 or Feb 2015
Thanks for letting me vent... GUS

I ordered my Charger HC Saturday and got my VON today. When I tried to pay for it Saturday my dealer told me not to worry until the car showed up. He said all I do is give him the colors and we wait. Not sure what all that means, but I guess I am waiting...
