No Power Sunroof Option

On 9/10/14 Dodge sent this to my hellcat dealer. The power sunroof option (GWA) is a Late Availability option for Challenger Hellcat and was opened prematurely in VOIM on September 9th. GWA will be removed from all (stock and sold) Challenger Hellcat orders. Please Contact your sold order customers to inform them that the sunroof is NOT available at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your assistance.

Lol love this share. So you are the hellcat solo of the crew huh, I read somewhere on Facebook some viper owners were making troll comments on a hellcat share cuz they are mad how much cheaper the hellcat is and how much more powerful it is. Awesome car btw!

Thanks Tammie! OK just got back from the Dodge Store and I asked if it was too late to add the SunRoof option to my HellCat order. They told me the same as what you folks stated! Once the order is submitted it really cant be changed. So it looks like I will be receiving a hardtop. No biggie,,I would LOVE to have the Sunroof but a hardtop is perfectly fine too! I also asked if there will be a 1st shipment build group,,then the next series of builds and so on,,they said yes,,which is why the sunroof wasn't available on the order banks for the 1st group of cars built. Thanks and glad I came to this site! Eddie

Thanks Hellcatdotclub,,, Yep,,the solo HellCat guy,,LOL,,last year I contemplated buying a new Time Attack, TA Viper. After adding the insurance,,taxes,,maintenance ect I realized I could buy the Viper,,but wouldn't be able to drive it after paying for everything,,LOL,,,IMHO the Viper is a different class of "Car" it's a street legal RoadRace beast,,no compromise track car! The HellCat is America's premier Muscle Car, the Viper is ,totally engineered for road racing. I don't understand the vindictiveness of 1 group to the other?? Oh well,,I appreciate the fact that Chrysler,,Fiat or whatever is building High Horsepower machines in different segments. Heck,, I live in the Heartland,,rural corn country. I have friends with Cummins powered Dodge trucks that run in the 11's in the 1/ mile at 7,500 Lbs. !!! (The blue Dodge CTD is mine, mild,,350 HP 650 Ft. Lbs. the red one is 500 HP and 900 Ft. Lbs and is very fast!) LOL

Thanks HellcatdotClub! I try and remain positive at all times,,am tolerant of ALL forms of "motorsports activities" I LOVE anything mechanical,,cars,,trucks,,Formula-1,,Drags,,sprints ect you name it! LOL LIFE is way to Short! lol Thanks again,,,,Eddie

That is great news Eddie. I wanted a sunroof too. I am gonna add one, not too worried about keeping it stock and it carries the Same warranty as the car!

Yeah Viper is over rated for city driving haha! That truck looks good!

TRUE! I decided to be a realist. Once everyone starts posting their mods I am gonna be like, I need to do that too. I always start with, I like it just the way it is and pretty soon I have changed all kinds of stuff. I hate having a car like everyone else. I think most people buying a Hellcat is like that, they want something unique and special.

Sunroof don't make a muscle car. That is why I went without it. My 08 has one and I have only had it opened maybe 3-5 times in over 6 yrs.

Sorry not true . Putting a sunroof in a car takes the same amount of time to install as any other part. We build cars on the line so every job has the exact same cycle time as the next.

Personally I don't like sunroofs they add weight and you get less head room I am 6'2" so I like all the extra headroom I can get

I never use it in my '12 SRT-8 Challenger

when I want sun will drop the top in the Shelby GT-500
i doubt I will miss is on the Hellcat.

Interesting about the roof, have it on my order for the widebody. Would like it but not a deal breaker, I just want to get the car!
