Back in mid November 2021, the Jailbreak level of the Challenger/Charger was released, but there's no way to place an order on it, neither is it in any dealerships yet from what I've seen. I know that there's a shortage in parts, but there's an unfortunate forthcoming of the EV Muscle lineup.

TL;DR: Current parts shortage and future EV muscle, when will the Jailbreak approximately release between those timeframes?

You can certainly order one now if you can find a dealer with an allocation. When it will be built is anyone's guess but plan on months. You aren't going to be sitting indealerships because they're all built as sold orders so unless someone backs out it's spoken for before it's built.

You have to find a dealer you trust that has an allocation AND won’t charge you a crazy ADM to put an order in. After it’s secured, get a copy of your POC and look for codes that either read “guaranteed scheduling” or “January build schedule.” The first code is 5N9, I believe. If neither of those are on there, press the GM to ensure he has allocation and bring up contacting the area manager - who functions as the manufacturer rep - to confirm. If you don’t, it could take weeks before they’re willing to admit your build won’t be picked up, and by then, they’ve usually got your deposit in hand.

Do your homework and be patient. Allocations renew on the 10th of every month, so more are coming.

interresting..so they limit the allocations ...monthly? why not for the whole run? Is there a finite number of JB to be made or are they just limiting the number because the extra options ticked mean more production time..
Above our pay grade.

Stellantis said nothing about limiting production to customers.

Apparently behind closed doors they have limited ordering and given allocations to dealers.

Your guess is as good as anyone's as to what will happen.

In the original announcement, Tim K made it sound like any previous color would be available, no limits on number of cars produced and they even put together a few "standard jailbreak" combos which I assumed would be sent to dealers or could be orderded that way. Seems Stellantis put the brakes on most of that and now there are allocations and they removed nearly all options from teh Hellcats to force you to the JB.

Although Dodge can recreate any color pallet the customer wants, they have created some color combinations of their own, to aid with the vast choice range they now offer, namely the Old School, the Brass Funky, the Red Dawn, The Classic, or the Yin Yang.

For instance, the Old School Challenger Jailbreak gets finished in F8 Green paint, proudly carries the 20-inch Warp Speed Satin Carbon wheels, covering the Gunmetal Grey brake calipers. On the inside, the vehicle features the Hammerhead Grey floor mat accents and seat belts, a leather steering wheel, and a twill headliner.

In contrast, the Brass Funky Charger Jailbreak showcases the Hellraisin exterior paint scheme, 20-inch Brass Monkey wheels, orange brake calipers, carbon double stripes, and black exhaust tips elegantly complementing the sepia Laguna leather seats, the sepia floor mat accents, carbon fiber bezels, suede headliner, and not least, the Alcantara steering wheel.

as far as I know none of em are getting built customer orders or the dodge "recipes".. and if ANY previous color was going to be an option you think they would have had some GWE, B5, Sublime, Detonator Yellow, Hemi Orange etc as examples of what the jailbreak could be.

Why would one want a "January build schedule" for a car ordered in February

production time doesn't change if you check every option box or none. The run down the assembly line is just that. There are no off ramps for completed cars with less options. It starts at the beginning and ends at the finish no matter what you ordered

I disagree, look at the trx forums. Base, Level 1 trucks and level 2 trucks have stark build time differences due to chip shortages.

Additionally adding things such as stripes, different wheels, matte roof, or hood or truck/roof/hood can all add time at the upfitters, I would consider this additional production time.

so the up fitters are a thing of the past?
No they exist, I think if I understood him correctly he is saying that once your vehicle hits the assembly there aren't any additional delays in terms of start to finish, it's either started once the parts are gathered or it's delayed.

I would still consider time at the upfitter as part of production time, as I would consider waiting for parts. It's all semantics but he could very well be right if we boil down production time to the actual assembly.
