Has anyone tried NRS Brake pads on their Hellcat? I am seeking pads for a daily driven Hellcat with the only features I am looking for our similar to stock braking power, all the time, and as little squeal as possibly. The amount of dust is irrelevant, and I came across these NRS pads that on paper look great but I cannot find a review anywhere. Not interested in Stoptech or Hawk, and heard the EBC's are no good on the Hellcats due to the squealing. Demon Performance is a no go since the owner got blasted on the forum for messing with a Member's hellcat, so no chance I would buy from them.

Enter NRS. Anyone know about these pads?

Holy cow, they are high!!!!!! I believe the consensus, and I agree wholeheartedly, is stock for road course work (semi-metallic), or Powerstop (ceramic) for street duty.
Not really expensive relative to the car we are driving, and they seem inexpensive to me. My 2005 Wrangler Pads (Black Magic pads) were the same price as these Hellcat pads.

Since my stock pads are squealing I know they are not for me. Powerstop products are not for me, and why I am seeking a better alternative to them. EBC is solid, always had great results with them, but too many forum members have complained that the Yellowstuff and Redstuff squeal. On to these NRS which I would roll the dice on, but would like to see if anyone knows of this brand?

Ok, so then may be the bigger pad which was prone to squealing which is why they made it smaller. Automotive lighting Water Hood Sky Street light
If you have an untouched part of the rotor like this, they are the newer pads. If full contact, the older pads.

They are original pads to a 2016 model year - so whatever originally came on a 2016 Challenger Hellcat is what I have now.
Older pads for sure then.

Why wouldn't you want to use all of the rotor?
Any chance you heard of NRS? I really do not want this thread to go off track yet, just want to know if anyone knows of these pads before I pull the trigger.

FWIW - the EBC pads in my [now sold] GTO never squealed on the DBA 4000 dimpled and slotted rotors, nor do they squeal on my 07 Tacoma on EBC slotted rotors, nor on the 11 Accord with OEM replacement rotors.

ran the whole gamut with rotors and EBC pads, no squeal.

I have the Yellowstuff paired with some Adams Rotors which I believe are centric rotors, and they are fine, but that is on a 2.5k lb car, not a hellcat. Lots of forum members have reported squealing from the Yellowstuff, and I don't want to deal with that. Hence I found these NRS pads that state they eliminate the squeal.

Thanks for the input.

There’s a reason the 05-06 GTO were known as "pigs on steroids."

i believe they (i had the 04) weighed +/- a couple hundred pounds of the Hellcat (online specs show the GTO @ 3,500ish pounds, mine braked like it was much heavier, pads / rotors helped tame that weigh on mountain roads, when going too fast, as my wife of 18 months was moving out).

so yeah, no squeal under normal use. :p

If anyone comes across looking for NRS pads, I ended up buying them and they feel like stock braking performance. Most importantly no more squealing. Time will tell the amount of brake dust, anyone squealing and the overall quality. I'll try to follow up down the road

Here they are vs my stock pads with 15k miles.

Those rears look like they have quite a bit more area than the brembos. Would there be any need to adjust the front/rear balance? Is it even adjustable?

Also, curious to know if there's any issues with fade.

I think you need multiple brake master cylinders to accomplish any adjustment like that, but I am not a brake expert by any means. The rear pads do look meatier, especially on the outside perimeter.

I will be on the lookout for brake fade, but when I bedded the pads all seemed good. No loss of stopping power by the 6th and final stop.

The NRS front pads appear to have a slightly larger "dust cavity/tunnel", and one think I saw on the used front pads was, if you look at picture 1, the pad on the far right has a scrape going the length of the pad. I wonder what may have caused that, too much dust filling up the pad cavity, road debris getting stuck...etc?

Dodge did that, and even more, to get rid of noise. With our anti-lock brakes, it automatically adjusts braking force already depending upon load.

Wow, that is a BIG gouge. That is not dust or normal wear either. "Normally", there is a matching gouge on the rotor causing the wear. Anything ugly on the rotor?

No, the rotor looks normal - no scrapes or abnormalities. Do you think that gouge could have caused the squeaking, by trapping dust in there?
