28.8 lbs each.

I've seen posts that say they weigh mid 20's, others as high as "just about 33 lbs" and a couple in between.

So my 12 day old Hellcat was put up on a lift, pulled off the right rear tire/wheel.
The combination of the two weighed 62.8 lbs

Tirerack lists the OEM Pirelli P Zero Summer Tires as 34 lbs. (granted it could be 34.3 lbs, it could be 33.8 lbs, who knows which way they rounded).

So it's safe to say the stock wheel weighs between 28.5 and 29 lbs.

We have four of these that were purchased for resale. I just opened one up. A wheel alone is 26.06 lbs. Keep in mind this is without lug nuts or a center cap.
Sounds about right for a forged wheel ;)

That seems too light. Not sure if your scale is off.
The "shipping weight" of the tire and wheel combo is 64 lbs.
I weighed the wheels and tires, minus the lug nuts, but with center cap and a couple tack on wheel balancing weights and it was 62.8 lbs. Tried it several times, placing them on the scale in different directions, same each time. Seems right considering the box and foam in the shipping would add a pound or two.
So with lug nuts, 29 lbs seems accurate.

Part of the wheel must have been touching the first time. I just reweighed the boxed wheel and it was 32 lb 7 oz. Then I weighed just the box, It was 3 lb 14 oz. So that means the wheel is 28 lb 9 oz. I did this twice and was within an ounce both times. Hopefully this info helps someone.

That's what I've been saying in my original post, and i knew your first numbers were off. They are 28.8 lbs each. ;)

Thank you again Driver72. I love when folks provided hard facts when they get the chance to do so. Like many people, if looking to purchase aftermarket, I like to go of solid facts to know if I am getting my $$$ worth,

How many PSI of air was in them?
At 40 PSI, there is about 0.87 pounds of extra weight for the air volume in the tire, due to it being close to triple the usual mass taking up the same space.
If these truly ARE forged wheels, REAL forged ones, not "flow forged" as is becoming more popular, (however, it must be not all bad, as BBS has started manufacturing such wheels.) then they are an excellent weight for the style you get with them.

1000 dollar BBS RE wheels in the same size are 22.9 pounds, only three pounds lighter or so. I thought I would see a BIG difference in weight, but alas, there is not. Looks like we have us some good wheels. I have seen some OMG super kewl baller wassup wheels that hover around thirty-eight pounds. No, gracias. No, por favor.

I want someone to really impress us and produce some one-piece forged magnesiums like they use in F1. I mean, without the Porsche price tag, of course.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread and also for shifting gears a little, but looking at buying a skinny setup for track use. The RaceStar 20 x 6 (20 lbs), with Bridgestone 195/50/20 (21 lbs) equals 41 lbs which would be a 21.8 lb reduction from the factory 62.6 lb setup. Times 2 would be 43.6 lbs of weight reduction and off the front end.

For comparison sakes, my GT500 OEM setup of 18 x 9 w/ Goodyears weighs in sat 56.4 lbs and my skinny setup for this car of 17 X 4.5 Racestars w/ M & H tires weigh 34.9 lbs. Equals to 21.5 lbs difference which totals 43 lbs of reduction. Little lighter overall setup, but same reduction results.
