Just walked out of Darcars Rockville Maryland.... $350.
This is the same group that has a Demon in Silver Spring, asking price went semi-viral..

So does anyone have experience what a dealer charges for an oil change? Is that for real..

What a deal LOL!
Less than the $21,000+ oil change for a Veyron, but it looks like they charge similar hourly rates...

Well they're charging you $275 in Labor so yeah they're trying to bend you over, unlubed to boot 🤣.

The total cost for 7 quarts of oil and the SRT filter on Amazon Today is $74.68.

You could go to Harbor freight buy everything you need to change your own oil and Still be under what they are charging for 1 service, and then moving forward you'll only be spending $75 and an hour of your time to change your oil.

You're only a couple hundred miles from me. Instead of Cars&Coffee cruise, we should all plan an Oil&Filter change cruise this spring. Someone should donate their lift and was can all bring food, drink and and oil&filters.

I do mine in the driveway and spend a relaxing hour or two lounging under the car and watching the oil cooler slowly drain. I consider it meditation.

How much comes out of the oil cooler?

Whoa. That’s crazy.

Changing the oil on these cars is actually pretty easy. The oil filter is mounted vertical and everything is easy to access as you take off the belly pan.

The other cars have are harder to do because of access and so forth.

Paid $7.69 a quart for the Pennzoil Ultra Platinum locally and the 5038041AA filters are $12.19 each on Rockauto. Better off not letting the pizza faced Gen Z touch the car. More than likely they don't drain the oil cooler, much less know that there is one at all.

Just wait, we will all get coupons in the mail from the dealers. That's how I get oil changes in the Hellcat-powered cars for less than $100.

Just had my first oil change done about 2 months ago at Lake Keowee Dodge in Seneca SC. Miserable dealer for pricing on car sales but good for service. Bill was $118. I had purchased the car 13 months prior to the service and had 1600 miles. Asked was I in danger of voiding anything due to the 6 month recommended interval and they said no way. They indicated that that see a lot of cars that sit for longer and are seldom driven so they are accustomed to this scenario. I also asked if they had a problem with a rear diff brace and the warranty. No problem they said. Added that they install the braces on many of the HC's that they service. Sounds like Darcars is the bottom of the barrel - never heard of a price gouge that extreme.

Dealer does not have final say on warranty. Mopar has recently denied claims due to diff brace, and also has been known to be anal about oil change interval. They've gotten very aggressive in the past year or so on finding any and every excuse to deny claims--even when they don't actually have a valid reason--it's very difficult to fight them on it.

I live in Northern Virginia, probably less than 50 miles from you and I’ve been taking my Redeye to SAFFORD in Warrenton. I schedule the oil change with one of their better mechanics and let them know I will be waiting in the room next door for the car to be completed. They are a Dodge dealership and it’s cost me around 85.00 each time. It would be worth the drive to Warrenton to save almost 300 bucks.

The latest oil change from my local dealer ( a good one too ) was $101.00 for the oil, $9.20 for the filter, $1.25 disposal fee, and $32.50 labour. That's all in Canadian dollars for a total of $143.95 before 12% taxes. For $32.50 in labour I have the dealer do the work.

Ourisman Manassas was just advert 29.99 the other day in an email. I bring the oil and filter to my corner German mech (it's a Mercedes anyway) and he charges me like 20 to do the task.

The only place I saw a 350 oil change was at Crystal City Porsche in Arlington. It was like 12 qts of shell kissed by angels oil from the sweat of their brow. I shot the service writer an incredulous look and he said, hey it's a 911.

I have a quickjack and "shop" located right off i66 in Manassas down the street from the Red Roof Inn. So a wash and wax and oil change powwow can be arranged. Just as long as you people can keep it together if some of my Mustang friends also happen by.

I only asked because I get about a cup or so of oil that comes out when I unscrew the oil filter a couple of turns. I wondered if that was somehow draining out of the oil cooler.

If you are getting 10oz of oil out of cooler and decide not to drain that, it amounts to ~4% used oil in your oil change.
Looking at youtube videos, I'm seeing people get far less, maybe half a cup. If I do it myself, I guess time isn't an issue and can drain the cooler, but really wonder if necessary.

I had a Passat Diesel, oil filter under hood not under car. I never removed the oil plug, always sucked the oil out through dip tube. Over 100k miles, nary an issue. That was a 10K oil change interval.
