Was washing my car and cleaning the engine bay and noticed the oil stem fill was wiggling. Is this normal? Also not sure what that stem is called 🤔

It’s normal and if it’s not leaking I wouldn’t worry about it, but if it bugs you find a way to tighten it it up

As noted, pretty normal. On my 1999 Durango I removed the valve cover and GENTLY tightened the backing nut.

I wonder if it was tight before my first oil change. Maybe the tech loosened it? I literally had my oil changed in December and this was my first wash since then.

My Redeye Challenger had a loose neck as well. It appears to be normal.

Yep, thats normal.
I think its called a oil fill tube and oil fill cap.

Now, if the dipstick is wiggly, there is a bolt that holds it in place you can tighten. I know that much.

Yes it’s normal both my Redeye Charger and Hellrango so the same thing. No leaks, it’s all good.
