Will be fun to put guesses in now and see how close someone gets (or not) to why that clue is relevant.
so what do you think it references/means?

from google that’s the first year Chrysler was involved. DD-Six and DC Eight’s were the models.

All Wheel Drive, Twin Turbo Inline 6 Cylinder or
All Wheel Drive 2.9L Supercharger with Meth/Water Injection and bigger freon Chiller

only inferring from the license plate. throwing the wildest crap out there that I can think of given the data

Hmmm.…that would be interesting. I’d say no go on the inline 6 for a last of the best factor but twin turbo corn fed 2.9 I could see

This is the current car they are talking about so the engines are carryovers, they'll be no AWD or 6-cylinder Turbos in the current car.

Fastest to 9 second car ever made. Quicker than the Demon.
I imagine this is the closest.

It’s NOT a turbo, it’s not a 6 cylinder, it’s not a hybrid, it’s not AWD. Fellas, it’s the outgoing Hellcat as we know it, same form factor...now whether or not it’s still rocking a 6.2 and a 2.7 blower or not we don’t know....

I personally hope for a Hellephant. But I would be shocked.

Maybe the number represents the word too…vs a number…opens up some interesting thoughts.
1 fast too 9…
If it’s going to SEMA - it needs to be unique and build a view of the brand / possibilities…2.9 0-60 is not that interesting…but a 9 (or really low) 9 second car would be

I like this guess from my FB post!

"In 1968 Plymouth prepared 50 special Barracudas for Superstock racing under the B029 tag. These all featured the potent HEMI engine as part of a high-performance package. They were intended for some of the best Super Stock teams including Sox & Martin."

The BO29 Barrcuda and LO23 Darts are still competing to this day in NHRA. I had a Hemi Dart race car in the late 1980's and sold it still as a roller. Back then the interwebs did not exist and there was very little way to ascertain its prior racing history. I sold it not knowing that it was Dick Landy's actual 4-speed race car originally. Had I just used a piece of sandpaper and scuffed the paint in the door jamb I would have seen his famous red and silver livery under the flat red primer still there...DOH!
