I sold me 2020 gt500 track pack because of this reason, never saw this video. That car is amazing for sure and is fast real fast but it's unpredictable and when it gets loose it's almost always to late. I've been driving very fast street cars for 30 years and I'm a damn good driver. Had 2 close calls in that fuckin car and because of that I sold it. **** those death traps. Glad to have another hellcat. The only time they hook on the street with the factory tires is on a 70 degree or warmer day. If it's less than 60 don't even drive the car. Sure I probably could of fixed it with drag radials but I didn't buy the car for that. It will get loose with zero warning. I never felt safe driving it fast. EVER.

I also sold my 2020 GT500 to get a 2021 SS. The GT500 is a dog from a dig compared to the SS. Mechanically it was great but the build quality was very poor to say the least. Body panel gaps were awful. I did not find it scary to drive. It was easy to drive at the track on stock tires because it was so lazy out of the hole, to protect the expensive transmission, but it was a freight train at the end of the track. It ran 11.1 @131 with a DA of 2500+. With drag radials it was only a tenth faster in the quarter. It handled great and the braking was fantastic. If anything it made me over confident as a driver, the GT500 was far more capable than my driving stills. I have owned 25+ muscle cars and 700HP is nothing new to me. My preference is the SS but I could buy another GT500 if they build quality were as good as my SS.

Mustangs have a 0 star safety rating for back seat passengers in a side impact crash. I think particularly for children. That's a comforting thought, dead children and never tested for crashes design. Guaranteed severe damage. this of course is not USA tested but european tested. america everything gets a 4-5 star rating $$$$$$$$$$$$ is nice.

Video from Youtube my buddy sent me, I hadn't heard this about the mustangs.

Gotta love the flaming Ferrari's, No Dodge listed ;).

Literally called the Ford Engineers dumb, ROFL.
Porsche and porsche boxsters are more reliable than hellcats, corvettes, hm, i cannot think of anything that bests there longevity as well as able to be on a track all week and be fine as a daily driver with nothing swapped. That was a silly quote. Also, the new 718 has near nothing to do with the six cylinder slow poke old engines of several years ago, so not making that designation means the maker of this video has absolutely no understanding of the brand.

The 911 part really is crazy. That part though is a good warning for 95% of the people who buy sport cars, just narcissists with small peepee complexes who do not know how to drive them. You will kill yourself in a GT3 1 and 2 era if you just slam the gas because your girlfriend yelled at you. I am fairly confident that if anyone on this forum had a modern or even semi modern 911, they would handle it much easier than the Hellcats. But, yes, if you dont have a clue and only have money, a 911 rear engine will make you spin away in reverse. Which brings up the oddity of the claim that a 718 is dangerous. It happens to be the best handling sports car made, so that's safe. It also has the highest rating, notably higher even than MX-5 RF's, the 2nd most safe sports car in an accident. The video has some good points though about power and weight of the car. A hellcat is driveable because it has neanderthal engineering behind it that did not save 1 ounce of weight in its design, and so sticks to the road when you accelerate. Carbon fibre and aluminum just cannot be used for such hp ratings on crap civillian roads and road tires.

Mazda MX-5 ND2 are the only one that beats a porsche for reliability it. The boxster is very easy to diagnose and repair if you have a lift if anything is wrong. Talking to people on forums and other porsche enthusiasts, engine and drivetrain and gearbox and transmissions are not even topics discussed. Super reliable and very slow to change their systems or parts, refreshes take 12+ years. Their PDK dual clutch is rated at 5,000 line-lock drag's. It has a button you press for launch control, rated at 5,000 and still under warranty if you drag race it. So, That part of the youtube was stupid. Rest is pretty good.

His only complaint on some of them was simply they had too much power.
Pretty sure that's just a feature of sports cars in general. Show me a flaw in the suspension setup, crash safety, or other design flaw that can cause issues (like the wires touching heat wrap--that's a good thing to avoid...)

well, you have a 4000+ lbs hellcat. It has so much downforce that it will stick to the ground easier than most of the cars on this list. Brakes wonderfully i noticed test driving it due to friction force certainly not the petite frame :)

yeah, the hellcat is really awesome. I think Hellcat challenger, a 718 Porsche, Lotus Elise, maybe an M2 Competition, and 3.0 Supra are the cars to own.

Elise/Exige is where it is at! Friend had an Exige a while back so I got to drive it a good bit. He is the reason I am shopping for one. Otherwise, I'll end up in an ND Miata.

Another Mustang fact? The GT500, with 760 HP, can "only" do 180. This because they said they would have to invest to much money and time in the aerodynamics to break 200. If I could use a 2-door, I'd go Camaro ZL1 all the way!

Well the one error in the video is when he is talking about Mustangs with a solid rear axle and it shows the 15+ GTs. In 2015 Mustangs gained IRS and were no longer solid rear axles.

I have a FBO 18 GT along with my ZL1 and Hellcat. I also just bought a GT500. Mustangs (and all these cars for that matter) are not as bad as this video makes them out to be.
