I ordered my SS on March 2nd. I have my build sheet with a Vin and Von number. I have received my email from FCA. My dealer tells me that since I have been issued a Vin and Von that my car will be built. It is still in D status. No idea of an actual build date but he has not seen one cancelled after the Vin has been issued. Opinion from the forum. You guys think I am safe to simply wait on my car to be built?

This thread makes me feel better after hearing the news that Dodge is not taking Super Stock orders at the moment. I ordered my SS back on Feb 24th, 2022 and got my VIN a short while later, and the dealer has told me the same thing as here.... that my car will get built.

You are early enough in the build year that I wouldn't worry about your car not getting built. My 2021 Super Stock took 8 months to get. Many others that ordered after me got their cars before me, including 2 at my dealership! There is no rhyme or reason. There was some orders that had VIN's and were cancelled in 2021. Mine could have been one of them, both the dealer and Dodge told me it would be a good idea to reorder a 2022. I refused because I knew that the 2021 would be a low production output. I was right BTW. Dodge has already built more 2022 in the first 2 months than all of the 2021 MY. Anyway, buckle up and enjoy the wild ride. Check with your dealer every other week for updates. It's worth it. Hellva car!

I understand the process can be long and arduous. My concern is with all of the parts issues and news a flutter about this “new V6” will they just stop building and I will end up without my new car. The consensus seems to be that if issued a Vin then I am okay. I hope that holds true. With Brandon screwing up the entire supply chain on a massive scale and nuclear war on the table I know it’s a small worry but I really want one of these before getting a new one is no longer an option. I got really lucky on my TRX. It was delivered within one month. I doubt I’ll get lucky twice…..

Not that I think yours will be cancelled this early, but a VIN issued car can be cancelled. My 21' SS order was cancelled after two months of waiting. My 22' was issued a new vin 3 days after the 21' was cancelled... Still waiting.

No one but Dodge will know that and they wont release numbers until the year’s order banks close for good. Anyone saying they know numbers is just guessing.

On the FB JB owner's group page, there's a number of Brampton employees that hand out the daily VINs being built. They make something on the order of 8-15 per day.

Do we have a total? A per day list is nice if it’s being accurately tracked by someone. Would be awesome if there was some sort of official tally going. If not it’s still a guess.

That's what I was assuming too. As far as I know, 2021 numbers aren't even out yet so I'm not sure what that person is talking about.

I imagine someone could go onto that page and count them. They started counting on day one back in late January. The guy updating the VINs on daily production is one of the foremen and he pulls the daily schedule and uploads it. He even notes when they have parts related halts or other issues. Most days they do 10-12 it seems. Sometimes it goes as low as 6 that I've seen.

I think Xylander's post would be the closest anyone would be able to get w/o something official from Stellantis which wont be for a while.

There are two guys that are counting VINs. One of them is on Facebook and regualrly post updates on the facebook super stock group. The other is here @triple_B actually runs a computer scan for all window stickers generated. He pulls the data from that. FWIW, both have come to the same number of 2021 super stocks built. 559 sold. @triple_B found 4 more that weren't sold due to a recall. The facebook guy (Todd) has 490 VINs for the 2022 model year super stock as of a couple of weeks ago.
