Hi all. I really don't post. I just follow this forum. I've ordered my Challenger HCWB in February. I just asked the dealer today for an update and it's still in D status. Almost 6 months. It seems like other members are getting their orders complete and shipped. I have a priced order confirmation and a vin. Something seems shady. Thoughts?

It seems from the builds so far, and priority, the Jail Breaks are getting priority builds and cutting the line over any widebody hellcat. So if I had to guess as soon as they catch up with the JB builds they will schedule yours hopefully.

If you order a JB, they are allocated cars so they have a 5n9 guaranteed build code instead of the standard 5N6 easy order. Once they hit D status they list the production month they target for that car also on the POC. A non-allocated car, such as your hellcat, are just in the que without a guarantee to be built.

Dodge has to make a JB that they have a guaranteed build allocation for (they also limit the amount to each dealer). Thats the whole point of that allocation process.

Also, this kind of makes sense with Dodge trying to make the most money. They would want to build the highest trim levels first as the profit margin is higher.

Thanks for the input! Learn something every day!! I didn't realize that my order was not an allocation. I would do a 500-mile radius search and I would see Redeye's available but no HC's or WBHC's.

If you didn't order a Jailbreak it probably won't be built. Jailbreaks have priority with parts shortages.

Reaperhwk’s information I believe is right on point with the Jailbreak ordering.
Most of us who have ordered JB,s with a Vin will get Our Hellcats.
Unfortunately most of the ordering time lines our similar to mine as noted below.
Hellraisin Charger Jailbreak
Ordered on 1/15, Vin 1/19, April Production, Actual Build Date 6/27. Tracker has Never showed a Shipping Date, only a Delivery Date starting at 7/28 all the way to October. Of course I check the Loser tracker multiple times, Day and Night🤦🏻‍♂️
Today’s delivery date is 8/25.

You can’t order a 23. Only buy a built allocation. That’s what they said yesterday.
You can order any model except the special editions. They will be built and sent to dealers.

all other models will be like the JBs this year. Meaning the dealer is allocated so many orders. You still get to custom order it against their allocation.

Yep, I ordered my challenger HCWB RE February 19th from koons, I’m still in D…
im assuming no chance it will be converted over to a 23…
And I really don’t care, I just want the damn car… it’s getting frustrating

if you get shafted you should go to the allocation list for 2023 that dodge will put out. Call a ton of dealers find your car for MSRP and place order. If it’s an allocated order you WILL get it.

Spoke with the dealer rep today. I asked him if there’s a possibility that my order will not be processed and to be up front with me. His response was because the order has a vin that the car will be built. My reply was that the vin doesn’t really mean anything. His response was my order is a “guaranteed build”. I hope it’s true with my order having a vin. We’ll see!
