Ok so I ordered a hellcat charger about 3 weeks ago. Is it possible to change the order to the redeye? My current order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. Not sure if it's possible to change my order or not at this point. I've already changed it once from a scatpack to the hellcat. 🤦‍♂️ But I had to put a whole new order in with the dealer in order to do that. They transferred my deposit so that's all and well. Lol. The more research I continue to do the more I want a redeye. Just because of the motor and all. Plus with the ev day thing I'm not entirely confident after 2022 the hellcat motor will be available any more definitely won't be after 2023.

If you're still in D you should be able to get it changed, as said need to talk to dealer asap and whatever changes he is able to make just make sure he gives you a new updated POC.

Speaking to the Stellantis EV thing, I think their timeline for electrification is....optimistic. They MUST figure something out in the global sense, but in the meantime they need serious cash flow to make the transition.

For that reason I think the Hellcat makes it to at least 2025.

On the HC vs RE thing, if you can make the RE fit in your budget go for it! But it's not like the HC is going to be no fun at all. Just be sure to ENJOY what you get, because one never knows when you'll come this way again.

Pretty sure the EV will happen for ‘24. There’s zero way they announce something to the press with a release model year and it’s an optimistic guesstimate.

Yeah if you check out butters da great on YouTube he has ALOT of solid information on the move to EV with Chrysler jeep ram and dodge. You should check him out. He has his opinions but he provides articles and all supporting his views. It'll happen when they say it will and they are even saying full EV in 2030. With the UK now moving the date up again from 35 to 30 for the ban on all new sales of gas vehicles I think it's pretty set in stone. I spoke to my dealer and he said no go on the change, I even asked if I could change my wheels on my order and he said he doesn't think so. He's going to ask on Monday but he's pretty certain he said that he won't be able to. I want a set of the devil rims for my hellcat charger when it comes in though pretty bad and ordering them through dodge is just insane as far as price goes so I'll end up with reps I guess.

Well that's you're still getting a great car, we'll see what happens with the pricing on future models. I'm guessing they will squeeze the combustion engine until it's totally unfeasible to make for consumer production cars, what happens when a HC costs $100K to make?

I would be up-front with your dealer and see if you can cancel the HC order and then order a RE. I'm selling my 2019 RE WB and have just ordered a 2021 RE WB. My salesman wasn't able to make the order because of it being so late in the model year, but the GM of the dealership was able to. I hope. Nothing is wrong with my 2019, but my brother lost his job and needed a loan and I figured that the new one coming in a few months will enable him to pay back the loan. Again, I hope.
