Good morning all! Thanks for the site, I love it and have been reading feverently for all the latest news and info! I'm in West Texas and couldn't really get any dealers out here to talk to me about the Hellcat besides just " I'll put you on a list if you want". Well that isn't good enough when it comes to a car of this caliber! I contacted a dealership in Phoenix that I used to purchase a Rubicon last year and they actually sent it to a custom shop and then shipped it directly to my house for me after all the mods were done. Which worked awesome! Anyway the rep told me that he would order a Hellcat for me at MSRP with $1000 down and I jumped on it. He said " I dont know if it will take 6 months or a year, but you will get one". That makes me kinda nervous, but since I waited so long to order one, I realize I'm not on top of the list. What do you guys think? Should I look elsewhere or just wait and see for a bit? Sorry for the long first post !

Welcome to the site! It sounds like that dealer takes pretty good care of you. There are some members in your area that might have some insider info on getting one, but I would start just by asking the dealer how far in the line are you on his list. What we have read is that the allotments are based on their sales so, it is up in the air on how many they will get in the first two allotments. Depending on what you ordered, you might get it a little sooner. We are finding that a significant part of timing has to do with the options you choose. The dealer communication has really been the key to people knowing what is going on. There has been a lot of confusion and frustration as the bugs are worked out of the process.;)

I ordered the Phantom Black, 8 speed Automatic, Laguna Leather( which he called the next day and said that was an option that I could either wait on, or go with black leather. So I went with black leather lol ) 8.4 Nav, Satin Black Hood and that was about it I think. I've asked how many were in front of me and he said just a few. So I'll try to find out exact amount. He seems really helpful so maybe he can make something happen

How do you know this? Did the dealer tell you, or was it on the tracking web site?
Both and a little help from an insider. I received the notice it was in D status the same day I got my VIN, which luckily was 5 days after my order. I then was in contact with someone who has insider info on the builds and let me know that they starting building the Hellcats on Saturday the 27th of October and mine was started on Monday the 29th. I was able to watch the build process on VOTS and they had the tests and inspections done on Thursday, Oct. 5. I called my dealer on Friday and he was able to see that the car, was indeed complete and he gave me the travel schedule that was outlined in the system. It goes to Chicago for another inspection and then is supposed to get on a train October 9 and arrive in Oregon the 17th and then get loaded onto a truck to drive up to Washington and is expected early in the week of October 20. Lot of details, but I wanted to share the entire process as I received it and what info you can get from both VOTS and your dealer.;) We will now see how accurate it was when Oct. 20 gets here...
