Don’t mind the noobish questions. I just ordered my first hellcat on 26Mar, but I didn’t get much info such as when I should get a VIN. The other thing is that he said it would be about 6 months until arrival. Does 6 months sound right? Also, how do I check the status of the build?

Is your answer in the "Hellcat Ordering Thread", with over 300 posts?
I didn’t know where to post it. I did review a lot of post to see if I could find the answer. In Fact, the reason I’m asking is because in most of the post people received their car in 2-3 months. I thought since I ordered a hellcat it would go under the ordering thread. If I’m wrong, my bad

You ordered the car two days ago. I suggest that you contact your dealer and ask for the VIN and the VON. The order should have been placed by now and they should be able to give you that information. Once you receive the VIN, call this number:

855-778-8326

Ask for a Build Status Update. They'll want the last 8 characters in your VIN. I doubt it will take 6 months for your vehicle to arrive, but these days, anything is possible.

Congratulations on the new purchase. Charger or Challenger?

If you ordered it two days ago youre pretty early on requesting build info. Good to have the tools but I would not torture myself by focusing on it. That will only stop time in it‘s tracks. Find something to do for the next 3-4 months that can distract you. Trust me I’ve been there multiple times lol.

First, Thank you for replying and being super helpful. I purchased a Charger. I have been trying to get one for year, but it was never the right time. There no better time than the last year of production. Thanks again, have a blessed day

You’re right. All I can think about is the car and what mods will I do first. Got to find a time consuming hobby to take my mine off of it. Thanks for the advice.

If your salesman is cool he won't have any problem sending you a weekly POC, it will have the current status and any estimated ship dates on it straight from Dodge, makes it easy to keep up with and you can double check all the equipment on it is correct.

Not sure if this is yours or an example, but I don't see a reason for hiding the first part of the VIN. It's the last part of the VIN that is unique to each car or at least it used to be.
Aside from that, appreciate the real world example you've provided.

Haha yeah that's funny. No, not mine, just grabbed it somewhere and thanks!

Just saw that Dodge is no longer taking orders for 2022 Super Stocks... I ordered mine over a month ago and got the VIN almost right away. I am nervous that my SS won't get built, even though I have a VIN. If they are stopped any new orders... do they have enough parts to build the existing orders?

Count your lucky stars and hope your order makes the line because I don’t think they go based on order sequence. I’ve had a HCWB order from December dead in the water while other who ordered in January or February had their built/shipped

They have done this before to allow time to get parts and build existing orders, no way to read anything more into it than that.
