Hello all! I just came back from consulting with one of the larger graphics companies in my area. We talked about doing a Satin black wrap on my hood and about 1/3 of the conversation was spent with him (an owner I believe) trying to talk me out of wrapping the hood and painting it instead. His specific concerns had to do with wrapping around the center NACA type air intake. He said that he felt that wrapping this area would push the 3M Vinyl "to it's limits and it is likely to tear". He also said that "likely, this area will have to be seamed".

My questions:

1. Has anyone who has already had their hood wrapped had this type of discussion?

2. Was it necessary for your installer to place any seams in the vinyl to get the job done?

3. If seaming was necessary, where are the seams?

Thanks for your input and suggestions!

No seams no discussion. My installer did say that due to the heat the wrap may only last 2 years.

Buddy, I was at Extreme Graphics on 68th St near 131 today. I believe that is the place where you had yours done, correct? BTW, a friend mentioned seeing a Tor Red Hellcat parked in a lot visible from 131 near M-6 almost every day this winter. Can I assume that's yours?

Yeah, sooner or later we're going to cross paths. LOL, I was going to say "bump into each other", but well....let's not!
