Well, could they just need money and Walmart will now own it but still be a track? Look at all the stadiums bought by beer companies, insurance companies, and casinos..........

I spoke with "someone" at pbir not long ago who said no, all scheduled events are on as planned. Ambiguous at best.

I race there and have heard of them going away which is a bummer since I'm near them. I have also heard from others that there not sure what there doing and others have stated they will be closing out in the next few months.

Only time will tell what goes on but will continue to race as long as they still have race events going on for what it's worth. For some of us South Floridians, other options would be to race in Orlando and or Brandenton that has some of the best prepped tracks but a few hours away.

Sad to see these tracks going away, and at the same time equally surprising that Capitol raceway in Crofton Md and 75/80 in Mt Airy Md have been resurrected from the dead after being closed for years.

What would Walmart do with it? If I remember correctly from my old SCCA days, it's way out 77 (The Beeline) in the middle of no-where. I'm sure there's been housing development out that way, but it's still way out there. I did like how PBIR reconfigured the road course from the old Moroso days, but on the other hand, the same group that bought it and changed it from Moroso were the same group that bought Memphis International Raceway and then lost both Nascar Busch and Truck races, and then lost the NHRA race

because walmart wants to own everything and everyone. Probably part of the broader plan to stop people driving and racing their ICE vehicles. Stay home and play video games...
