Not disagreeing, but Mustang is going full speed ahead with the V8 and talking about putting a new big block 6.8 all aluminum V8 In. The Camaro continues on in 2024 with the supercharged V8 engine and general motors is developing a brand new small block V8 gas engine. Some speculate that the EV cars will allow an offset for the V8.
Why can’t Dodge pull something off?
I thought it was because these cars brought down the emission average across the board for the manufacturer. I may be wrong of course but I thought that had a lot to do with it.
Can you imagine a AWD Hellcat with electric motors up front? Zoom zoom!
Having owned an AWD Challenger and seen the "size" of the front wheel drive components, I wouldn't want to run much "zoom" through those parts.
What happens to Brampton on January 1, 2024? Do we have an exact concrete answer on that yet? Is it possible dodge could just say yeah, lets push it a year. sign a new contract or something or is that just not possible?
Brampton plant is expected to be retooled to produce EV and HEV vehicles for 2024.
Durango V8 production ends with the 23 model year. JNAP has been re-tooled and Durango production is being moved to MACK assembly and the new Durango will be based on the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The HEMI engine option for the Grand Cherokee is no more.

This is what confused me. It sounds like the Durango plant has already been re-tooled, While simultaneously still producing Durango‘s. Has Brampton even started the re-tool process ? If not, they could easily change their mind.

If they did it like the ERay, it would be an electric motor up front.
Probably 0-60 almost as fast as the Demon but on the street

I don't really care about 0-60 times, or being quick in general.. Well, other than an occasional 60-120 spurt.
Fast is a different matter, and which I do like.

Also, I appreciate having electric motors in cars, but that is limited to starter motors and such. I don't want them to be part of what propels the vehicle.
