Hard to do any performance modifications these days with emissions laws, that's what shut down Yenko, Baldwin Motion and all those guys back in the 70's. Plus who's going to cover the warranty on a modded car? Surely not Dodge.

Some dealers that do other mods may cover the warranty themselves through inflating the cost of the mod, lifted trucks come to mind.

But still hard to legally do performance mods so they mostly stay clear. Think of the Harley Davidson EPA lawsuit from a few years back, they shut down that power tuner thing they were selling and installing and paid the DOJ a $12 million fine.

My local Dodge dealer does chassis setups for people that race / campaign Vipers and Challengers. It's not modding for more power, but MAN does it make a difference in how the car handles. I LOVE my HCWB setup after they were done tweaking it!(y)
