This whole thing with the Dealers playing games will end once production get ramped up on both the Challenger and Charger.. We have to remember, this isn't like the Shelby GT500 that was limited production. People are reacting like this is going to be a "rare" production run.. Relax people, you'll get a car! I waiting like the rest of you. I'll bet any of you by this time next fall you'll be able to grab one off a lot, watch and see..

I've talked with people that work at Headquarters who said that they plan to crank these suckers out (challenger and Charger).. The dealer BS will stop!
We all need to just be patient (easier said than done) lol.. Was it the smoothest rollout? Perhaps not, but they had there reasons for doing it this way and its exactly to see who and what dealers are doing what. In time though it won't matter, they'll be available to buy off the lots just like Vipers. I know there's some of you die hards that don't want to except that, but its a fact, there going to build the shit out of this Hellcat engine package, you won't have a collector car..

Folks, just remember that there is a very limited segment of the population that even want a Challenger/Charger Hellcat. As much as I like the car compared to to others, most Americans could care less. We are a select group who WILL get a car if you can remain patient. There will come a day that these will be available to purchase off the lot (yes I know its hard to fathom the thought, but it will happen). In time Ford will be producing a 700HP Mustang which to most Americans is a far more popular car and triples the sales of Dodges. GM will follow up with something for the Camaro
(its already in the works). The bottom line is simple, Dodge needs to capitalize while they can. Once the competition makes there specialty cars available things will change and you won't have people running around saying the sky is falling.. If this was a "very limited" car most everyday folks either wouldn't spend the money for this car or couldn't afford it because it would be priced to where only a select group of people would buy this car like celebrities or athletes.. So yes, this car is special because its the first of its kind, but let's chill out and let things happen. Its Winter for most of us anyway.. Oh and if you have a VON, that means nothing.. Its when you go to D status that means something. For people that gave deposits in "good faith" unless the dealer has an allotment, your not even in the order banks at Dodge..

I agree KM, most of us know a VON means nothing. But I think if Chrysler took the people that have orders and money in from 3 months ago, and gave them all VINs, it would cool things down a bit
You have to remember bfusion that Chrysler isn't taking orders or deposits from any consumer, that's the dealers. Most dealers (ethical) aren't even taking orders if they don't have an allocation. Its unfortunate that there are dealers who are taking deposits to start a waiting list/line to get a car as they gain allocations from Dodge. Until they start building sold orders nothing will change. They will start building "sold" orders sometime next spring, but for now unless a dealers has an allocation, a;; of the VON's and deposits mean nothing to Dodge..

I've stated it before & I'll do it again: It's not that the car could take a while to be delivered. It's the fact that no one in the company has even made an attempt to answer my & others questions. Based on orders & line time someone there can forecast a build estimate. It's not a hard or impossible request. SRT in the U.S. provides you with some service. Try Canada! We are completely in the dark! If someone there had the balls to tell me or my dealer that it won't happen for me until the 2016 model; I'd have more respect for the whole handling of the situation than I do now... For me it has more to due with the lack of communication than the production time...
I hear ya! They'll get it together, be patient my friend, were going to get our cars..

Looking at my order sheet, it says status: BA: pending order and also says : scheduling priority: 1 Sold order

So I'm confused... Dodge has this info as I have discussed it with them
Unfortunately a dealer can take a deposit and print up an order sheet and it will show BA status/sold order.. That however is not yet been excepted into the actual order bank by Dodge.. BX status is basically the first acknowledgment from the Factory.

Well dodge, another dealer pissed me off today, got me in the dealership under the guise that he had an available allotment with $7,500 deposit. Fine... Until I made sure the $7,500 went towards the price of the car. NOPE!!! Mark up bait and switch so a big F U! I now proudly own a 2015 ZL1. Not a hellcat but I have no regrets. Car is loaded and was less than what my hellcat invoice was for. Maybe I will reconsider in the future but you've lost a customer and I WILL spread the word
Congrat's Joe! You should send your email to Dodge! Definitely do it... They need to know first hand that they are losing customers!
