i did finally manage to find the stock seats....they are pretty much the same, except for the stock ones are suede and the expensive ones are all normal leather.....seems pretty extreme to pay $2k extra for them....maybe im missing something?
Yep, I went with stock and paid for the protectant. My interior looks like one posted before. Very comfy, good butt gripping for fast cornering! Lmao!:D

I agree, $2 is extreme. Usually when you upgrade to leather it's a whole trim level with other options but these Laguna cows are real special, ask Tammie.:D
Yeah, I got all they seats in my Charger done in leather for $1,500. Total recover, not just an upgrade.

Has anybody seen that black & red seat option, in person? Is it just me, or does it usually look, in the photos and videos, like the red is not actually ruby red, but a slighty orange red. Not orange, but just a hint of orange, in the red, not a deep red like ruby? I mean, it still looks good, either way, but I am wondering if anybody else has interpreted the color like I have? I don't know if I've ever felt alcantara, but if it's like suede, I'm sure it will be plenty nice, without paying a premium for some of those free-range grain-fed cows at those country clubs in Laguna I've heard about. I have not seen it in person, and I know sometimes there is subtle differences, compared to on a computer screen, so maybe it's more of a pure red, in real life?
I did! It was on a 392 at my dealers. The red is darker in person and I did not realize it wasn't suede until I read about alcantara. I liked it a lot and felt like it went well with my red sest belts, those I have not seen in person, but assume it's gonna look killer! We will find out Monday!:D:D:D:D:D

Cannot wait to hear back, Tammie, I'm so excited for you to get your car very soon, finally!
That's cool to hear, about the red alcantara. Since suede is a difficult material, bad with spills for example, I would guess that the alcantara has the benefits of looking and feeling great like suede, but more tolerant of mishaps and abuse, thus better suited for in a muscle car! And I doubt Dodge would make the rookie mistake of putting in a material without colorfast colors, --that would be a big blunder if people were getting pink transfer to their sweaty white shirts, so I bet they already tested the colored materials, to make sure they would wear well and not transfer color to other fabrics.
I agree! I did pay for the interior treatment that protects from spills, tears, holes and fading for 6 years and then I just bring it back in and they will redo it. i didn't want to risk stains, especially on the doors. Since it rains quite a bit, I didn't want someone's dirty, wet hand staining the door.;)

It still has all the bad characteristics of suede, every little piece of anything sticks to it and it doesn't brush off very well, it will spot with any thing wet that gets on it. I had a friend that had a car with it in the seats. I figured that I would just have mine redone in all leather myself rather than take the chance of not getting a car waiting for the Laguna.
Which is still cheaper than the $2k upgrade. ;)
