You cant. But you can hit the SRT button twice after start up and it will go right into Custom mode. You can do this anytime on the fly. Also right after start up the radio screen will offer the mode option for a single touch to go into the last used mode. It pops up right at start up and goes away pretty quickly though.Hey guys, I am changing the default and custom mode to what I like. How do I save it so it doesent go right back to what it was when I shut the car off

Ok so, your saying no matter what I do, the custom and default will go back to what they were before and there’s no method to save changes. It’s basically how the factory set it everytime you start it… and also there are 3 settings track sport and street for each of the adjustable items in each drive mode… am I right in saying that the only way to see street mode is in the custom and default?. Was this just the way they did it instead of a street page? You cant. But you can hit the SRT button twice after start up and it will go right into Custom mode. You can do this anytime on the fly. Visit the salad bar a little more oftenAlso just after some google here I see the drive modes are very different from the new ones to my 16’,, may be the cause of the confusion, is there a setting where the steering wheel goes all the way in and the seat all the way back when you shut it off so a guy can get out easier? Then comes back once your in?
all questions from my first day sorry for the ramble. I will get better lol I promise
Yes there is a setting for this, you just have to look in settings for it. I use it because I'm 6' and my wife is 4'9" either of us can get in and hit our preset and I don't get squished if she was the last one to drive it.Also just after some google here I see the drive modes are very different from the new ones to my 16’,, may be the cause of the confusion, is there a setting where the steering wheel goes all the way in and the seat all the way back when you shut it off so a guy can get out easier? ok I will have another look, maybe they didn’t have it in 2016, I don’t even have pre sets for my seat. That’s ok no biggie. I can’t wait to get into one of those. This is good enough to break in! When they can order the 2023’s the dealer has me on his list to grab one.sweet ride eh. congrats ~
when I hit SRT twice she goes into Drag mode and I loose the AC , but the she wheelies when the light turns green
You do not have that. It was implemented in ‘21 in Challengers.Nothing

It will default to Street every time you start it. You can make adjustments to each mode, including Street mode and those adjustments will be saved but your car will always default to Street mode (with your changes) upon start up.Ok so, your saying no matter what I do, the custom and default will go back to what they were before and there’s no method to save changes. Bear with me here guys,
Now inside the two adjustable modes and across the pre sets.. traction in sport is the least, then track, then street is the hardest to kick loose? Jeez this is a pain to figure out.. why you buy from a dealer I guess.
Anyway ya I had a little coolant smell there just a whiff and gone, probably normal eh? Over thinking it. Only water from the ac underneath it…
one day I will have the drive modes figured out. Everyone says to figure them out by trail and error on the road, she’s busy roadways here I’d rather know ahead of time for a shred of confidence.
Sorry I did not catch your cars year when I respondedNothing

+1 hard if not impossible to see during the dayDo it at night. It controls the mood lighting, as in floor and cupholder lights. Nothing you would see during the day.
