We had the opportunity to perform our work on yet another Challenger Hellcat, this time in Pitch Black! We put together a custom New Car Prep service for this client, which includes a full paint correction, wheels off detail, XPEL Ultimate Paint Protection Film on the front nose cone and Cquartz Finest to keep everything protected and easy to maintain.

Pre-Inspection & Paint Correction

Most people assume a brand new car will be 100% perfect when they receive it at the dealership, however most often this is not the case. In this photo, you can see just how hazy this Pitch Black paint really is. There is much improvement to be made before its ready for ceramic paint protection!

As you can see here, we have some pretty unique blemishes in the clearcoat. Not sure exactly what might have been the cause of this.

Here you see we have removed the defects and the paint clarity has increased significantly.

A few more blemishes we found throughout the vehicles paint work. These are sanding marks most likely left over from the factory during production.

After our paint correction stage, we were able to remove these blemishes which darkened the color and added a tremendous amount of depth to the clearcoat.

Xpel Ultimate Paint Protection Film

The car is nor prepped and ready to install the XPEL Protection Film over the front nose cone of the car, to help protect against rock chips and road debris.

These photos only show the main portion of the bumper being installed. Everything forward of the hood line that is painted will be wrapped, as well as the headlights.

XPEL Clear Film Installed.

The wheels were also removed, cleaned and coated with Cquartz Finest to help aid in brake dust build up and cleaning. We also coat the brake calipers and dress the inner fender arches for a showroom look.

very nice job. From all the pictures I have seen CQuartz never gives the depth of finish that a good polish achieves. What is your take on that

The final topping will be as good as the polishing prior to adding it. CQuartz Finest installers always polish the paint first to make sure that the paint is perfect before topping with CQuartz Finest.

Thank you! SC DETAILEL is right, any coating can only be as good as the surface you are coating over. The biggest difference is made with the polishing steps to refine the paint until it is crystal clear. Once that is done, almost any was, sealant or coating is going to look good over it. However, I can say that Cquartz Finest still adds a significant amount of depth and gloss even once it has been corrected, more than any other protection product I have used in 8 years of doing this.

Awesome! Will be moving to the Tampa area in a few months and will def stop by and see about getting this done to my hellcat. What does this exact job go for? I'd be interested in the transparent film as well.
