I had Vetts and Mopars all my live and would never dream of doing 100 mph down a street. I am seeing a bit of recklessness recently. My neighbor has ZL1 and I saw him ripping up block at >60 mph. I later saw him and asked him kindly notto do that as there are kids all over the place. He told me "to go [email protected]#$% my self" My residential block is a straight run with 35 mph speed limit, but I see people zooming up > 60 mph. This Las Vegas "asswipe" killed a whole family and himself in his Dodge Charger. Lengthy police record to boot. I love my 800 HP Redeye, but I simply can't be wreckless.

Yeah then you take that litter and throw it back into their window. Someone starts speeding down my street where my kids play, they are catching an ass whooping or getting the police called. I dont care in which order, but I guess it depends on their attitude.

I half way agree, but I also fully understand the need to do something.
Legally though OP, you have no authority to tell anyone how to drive that's on a public roadway, let alone confront them over the issue. This now makes you the aggressor, should that situation have escalated.

Next time, perhaps grab your cell phone and snag a vid or two of this activity, then go visit your sheriffs/PD and inform them they can use your driveway to park a traffic enforcement unit there from time to time, to help curb the issue. Become part of the solution instead of another part of the problem.
It wont take long before either your neighbor slows down because of the marked unit sitting there or gets ticketed.
If he says anything about 'pigs in your driveway', tell him, you are concerned with recent vette / sportscar thefts area and ask the PD to increase patrols.

You have the right to take up a petition in the neighborhood to ask the town to place a speed bump at the strategic point where max speed would be achieved. You can go to your neighbor to ask for the first signature. See if he is more cooperative then.

There a couple places in my state where at the end of a long downhill straightaway the town builds a freinin' 15mph rotary!!! Great way to kill MPG!!!!

With that said, anyone doing 60 down a residential street with kids is a douche. I am sure all of my neighbors have hated my loud ass cars, but at least they could never hate me for trying to kill their kids.

On the 100 MPH point... LOL. That is about average highway speed in most places. 100 MPH is not crazy...in the right places. Down my street? No way. On local highways? Sure.
