This Challenger SRT Hellcat originally came in for just a clear bra installation. However, once it arrived, it was quite obvious it needed a lot of work to make it look like a brand new car should. There were long scratches down almost the entire length of the front fenders and the entire car had some sort of overspray on it, causing the paint finish to look extremely dull. After many hours of polishing, we were able to make this Plum Crazy Hellcat look better than it rolled off the assembly line! We also protected the entire front end with XPEL Ultimate clear film and coated the entire car with none other than our most exclusive ceramic paint coating, Cquartz Finest!

Pre-Inspection & Paint Correction

One of the biggest issues with the car was the amount of overspray on the paint. This was causing the car to have a very dull paint finish.

Now completely removed after Paint Correction. The metallic flake is now popping and the paint look crystal clear!

This particular car has the factory matte black hood option, so we covered it with Xpel Stealth to retain the matte finish and protect it at the same time. All edges are wrapped for the best appearance.

I wash and wax mine the old fashion way and she is as pretty as any "Cquartz" you ever saw.. I'll keep the $2-3 k and mod her instead.. nobody's ever gonna give "Cquartz" any value when you sell it.. JMHO..

If you prefer to spend your money on "go" rather than "show," that's certainly your prerogative; the sweat equity of traditional washing and waxing is an opportunity cost unless you are someone who enjoys spending the time doing the work yourself.

As for nobody giving CQuartz coatings a value, the precedent on that has already been set by insurance companies; I have personally had two occasions I've been aware of where an insurance provider paid out the value of CQuartz to a client after an accident -- once when the car was a total loss, and once where they paid to have panels re-coated after a collision repair.

No.. I respect your opinion and not taking anything away from the process. but in reality washing and waxing has been a 100+ year staple, and yes I don't trust car washes, Cquartz or not... a scratch is a scratch.. part of owning a nice car is caring for it.. so... do I mind an occasional afternoon wash and sometimes wax?.. not really. If I set my vehicle next to a Cquartz vehicle, and I have, anyone would be hard pressed to see any measurable difference.. again JMHO..

My Plum Crazy Purple Hellcat has that overspray on several panels too... I guess that extra overspray on the car is from where Dodge missed applying paint on the bottom of the drivers door jam because it is completely missing paint..... It is nicely primed, with a light mist of PCP base coat, then they applied the clear coat over the primer... I have a shinny primer door jam... you can only see it if you open the door and lay on the ground and look up..... The Hellcat has this magical power of making you forget all about how terrible the paint job is once you hear the whine of the blower....

I picked up my Hellcat at the Dealer and drove it to the Detail shop for CD Quartz and Xpel , I had the same issue with scratches near the fuel door, and cloudy clear coat.... I told him I am, in no hurry since it is till too cold and wet to drive it with the summer tires on there....

I'm a new Hellcat owner myself. We live in Atlanta but bought it while in FL visiting family. As it turns out Presidential Detailing did our CQuartz Finest. I have to say though I'm very hesitant to touch it's coat since it also says it has Xpel and satin finish. (Plum crazy with matte black hood) Could anyone point me towards a good thread on the differences between them all if one exists?

I would suggest calling the shop that did the work for instructions as to maintaining the finish. Xpel is the clear plastic film, they also make a satin finish film for the matte black hood. I have a painted hood, and I have regular XPel on the Front, hood, front fenders, doors, roof, and rear, with CD Quartz finest on top of that.... I only drive it when the weather is nice..... The few times I have washed the car I used the pressure washer at the car wash, and take it on the freeway then dry it off the rest of the way with a leaf blower, and microfiber towels, and use a detail spray bet ween washes...
