Anyone successful on getting an order with VIN and/or VON for PCP Challenger Hellcat in CA or West Coast? Order banks opened on 9/10 and put order in CA dealership but have not got Vin or Von and noticed most of those who got their orders confirmed on the forum are on the East Coast.

I have a Charger on order with a VON. Not sure about a VIN, but am waiting for dealer to get back to me. I spoke to the SRT people today and they told me the car was in KZ status. That's not possible, as it should be a PCP car, and they won't be assembled until November.

Thanks Plum 16! KZ status sounds suspect as my understanding was same as yours - that the PCP HC's were to be built in Nov 2016. Good luck to you. I am just trying to understand this process.. Would be nice if things were just a little more straight forward and transparent with the ordering process here..

Understood. I am just trying to determine if the order is moving along. Once I know that, I have a lot of other things I need to do other than tracking where the car is. Like the other cars I have ordered, I will wait for the dealer to contact me, make an appointment, and sign the paperwork. There is no shortage of cars at my house and when it gets here, it gets here.

The process is a bit more convoluted than it should be. I have contacts in significant positions within the sales operations of FCA and even they can't help and don't understand why it's so difficult. I suppose it's possible that my order will get all screwed up. Hopefully not, but anything is possible.

The E63 I have was much more easy to order than this car.

The first thing to ask your dealer is if they have allocation to order a Hellcat car at all. These are the allocation rules in a nut shell. Each dealer can only get one Hellcat equipped car per month maximum. It is likely that if they are not a big dealer, they will not get one every month. That car will either be a Challenger or a Charger, not both and the dealer has no choice as to which one they get. Then if the allocation is for a Challenger, that challenger may have a manual or an automatic transmission. The dealer does not have a choice as to which.

Now throw in the fact that you are trying to order a Plum Crazy color. That is a special order high impact color with , I believe, a three month order window. SEP, OCT, NOV. I am working from memory here so if I misspeak, someone please correct me.

I would go talk to your dealer and ask some direct questions. If you do not get direct answers, Start looking for a new dealer.

You should get a VON the instant your order is placed and your dealer will be able to print it for you while you wait. Also, a valid Hellcat order for 2016 will start with the letters HC followed by the numbers. As an example, my VON HC111890. The VIN comes later.

Good luck.
I appreciate the feedback, although I am pretty familiar with the process. I am pretty confident its gonna go through, but just want to make sure it gets to D1.

The ordering dealer is the largest volume dealer in CA. The Sales Manager for the CA BC is very involved. The car is allocated. VON is HC111671.

OK, just trying to help. Did not realize you had a VON.
One of the scheduling factors is based on region. Among other things.

No problem. A lot of us are in that same position. Just have to let it work through.

How long have you had your Inviolet 'Cuda?
