The 0FG Exhaust:

The 0FG is a dual 3” T304L stainless steel catback configuration featuring a bespoke resonated H-pipe and AWE’s patented drone-canceling 180 Technology®. Together, combined with precision fitment, class-leading rigidity, and signature 5” slash cut tips, you’re looking at the Best Sounding Exhaust on the Planet™ for the RAM TRX.

American-sourced T304L stainless steel with a wall thickness of .065” runs smoothly from front to back, connecting right after the factory emissions equipment. A resonated H-pipe tailored specifically for the 6.2L-packed TRX is met shortly after to provide an aggressive and rich muscle tone with minimal rasp.

Perfect tone, compliments of AWE 180 Technology®

Keeping the aggression out at the rear of the TRX, and out of the cabin, is AWE’s patented drone-canceling solution, 180 Technology®.

As exhaust gases exit the 6.2L engine and flow into an AWE 180 Technology® equipped resonator, they pass through strategically located ports, and into reflection chambers. Sound waves, carried by these exhaust gasses, bounce off the walls of the reflection chambers.

By controlling the size and location of the ports and the chambers, we also control when the sound waves exit the chambers. The specific timing of when the reflected sound waves rejoin the main exhaust flow creates a one-hundred-and-eighty-degree out-of-phase sound wave that cancels out problematic frequencies.

Tip Options:

Drivers will have the option between chrome silver or diamond black 5”, double-walled slash cut tips. Each of the tips will have a stamped AWE logo to let everyone know what team you’re on.

What’s in the box?

Complete 0FG Catback Exhaust, two 5” slash-cut tips in the desired finish, and all necessary hardware for installation.

The TRX has a high pitched metal sound that most are attributing to the stock exhaust. I also have this sound. Do you have know if the AWE exhaust had any impact to this sound? Do you have an audio clip of a cold start that you can share, with absolutely no revving? I love the sound of this exhaust, and if it also solved the issue with the metal sound, I would be sold.

The notes in that thread seem to point to upstream components causing the issue - Manifold and Cats perhaps. Some of the people on that thread are running our system and it might be worth asking what their experience is with it. The TRX we used for development did not have this sound as I recall. This sound is reminiscent of a 5th Gen Ram we had used for sound evaluation. We ended up grabbing a customers brand new 21 Rebel and it did not have that (or a similar) sound.

I'll see if I can find a TRX owner with your exhaust, if it cured it my order will be coming asap. So many of us have this noise and FCA came out with this. I am not smart enough to call BS on this answer, but maybe someone else is???

FCA US LLC Version 4.3 10/28/2020

Case Number:S2111000001Release Date:02/27/2021

Symptom/Vehicle Issue: Customer complains of a brief metallic ticking/rattling/ringing noise after a cold start-up, that can be heard while standing outside the vehicle, resonating from the front wheel well areas. If the noise is present, it is normally heard at idle and the frequency of the noise will follow engine speed.

Customer Complaint/Technician Observation:The engine/exhaust ticking/rattling/ringing concern customers may report on the TRX is inherent to the exhaust manifold and catalyst design that ultimately helps achieve the 6.2L supercharged engine's horsepower and torque levels. The high level of exhaust flow and pressure, which the exhaust system is designed to withstand under the harshest of conditions, causes this metallic sound especially during a cold start-up. This sound is amplified by the ground clearance and height of the TRX in comparison to other vehicles with the 6.2L supercharged engine. It is considered a normal operating characteristic of this vehicle.
