Hi all
Can anyone advise on why the sunroof and HK spec is more expensive on the HC vs the scat and lower trims?

On the HC they both run $1,995 vs $1,795 for the HK and only $1,295 for the sunroof!!! On the other trim levels!

Thanks

I'm 100% for Sunroof, I have had no sunroof in my SP, and now have a sunroof in my HC.
Iceboss must have a 6 second car 🤣🤣🤣, because i don't think of my hellcat as a "Race car". I have a family sedan, daily driven (to include 2 baby seats) that gets to the grocery store really fast 😳.
That being said, yes, pricing disparity. The same reason that when I was getting my car wrapped everyone wanted to know the trim level of my charger when the only difference was the hood lol.

I wont buy one without a sunroof. I dont race so I love them in my Hellcats. The price disparity seems to be a Dodge thing. Same body, higher price. Makes no sense and when there’s no sense that’s nonsense.

I was referring to the Demon far as a race car. But its really weird that there would be a price disparity for the same equipment options.

Haha no purpose for a sunroof on race car lol. But do you know about the price disparity?
I think they do it because they can, they figure someone buying a Hellcat can afford to pay more for a sunroof so its easy money for them.

Like the Redeye Technology Group, they charged the full price of $1,295 even though you didn't get the ACC or FCW, basically you got the M6 version which was $495 on other Challengers but on Redeye, they charged you the extra $800 anyway.

Oh, and the Demon sunroof was $4,995!!!!

That's been one of my pet peeves too, ever since I bought my 2016. Now I started looking at redeyes I found another one that just kills me! RT and hellcat have the Tech package for $495. This includes rain sensitive wipers, auto high beams, adaptive cruise control and forward collision warning. On the redeye it costs $1295 and only includes the wipers and high beams! More than double the cost with barely half the feature set!

I've found that literally none of that works as advertised. I had it on my 2015 SRT and also on my 2016 HC and the high beam thing was ridiculous on both. Never worked correctly. Wipers? Eh because my cars never see rain lol. The ACC on my SRT was nothing but annoying and basically handed out heart attacks for no reasons. I completely skipped the whole package on my RE and used that money for the carbon fiber trim/suede headliner package. This stuff actually works lol.

I have the tech package on my 16 HC and it works fine for me. Mine is a daily driver and I live in central Florida so I see plenty of rain. My wife has a Scat Pack with ACC. I played with it once. It seemed to work fine. It was nice out on the interstate in traffic. I could care less about my high beams coming on automatically and the wipers are nice, but not for $1300. Like you said, I'll put that money elsewhere. Like tires lol! Just out of principal, I wouldn't pay $1300 for all the features when it's $500 on all of the other models including hellcat.

See I think I actually would splurge if I thought it would work. But two cars and nothing but frustration. I must be unlucky. Not doing that again. Tires sounds better to me too lol.

Volume of build/sold. Way more scat packs sold with the options than Hellcats. The Scat Packs are Dodge's #1 selling trim.
