Hey folks.

My lease is up today and I’m purchasing my 2018… 18k miles and in perfect shape. I cannot touch a new one for the deal I made in 2018 so no sense in trying to get another one. And this one has been a great car and traps at 128 stock so I definitely got a runner.

With that said… who are you all using to finance? I went to the local dealer to work out some stuff, thought about adding extended warranty but got the runaround on price that was ridiculous and was pointed toward a third party so decided against. I might go with another dealer or directly to bank or credit union (the finance manager tried to tell me that I had to pay taxes again… I already paid taxes on the full purchase price at lease inception… wouldn’t hear it until someone else corrected him). My intent with the dealer was the warranty.

Anyone done a lease purchase in 2022? Upper 700’s/800credit score. What rates were you seeing?

Thanks!

I got a 72 month loan on $52K @ 3.74% from my local bank thru the dealer finance guy with an 843 Score just last week...

When you went outside of dealer, did you just deal with the bank/cu and then handle dmv yourself? This probably seems like a dumb question, but the DMV can be a real hassle to deal with.

Will probably go with PenFed… so far the best rates going.

PenFed for the win! It took a little to get to the right product, but in the end it all worked out well. The key thing coming off the lease is to do a refinance from another institution. With that I was able to submit my buyout letter and the loan processed without issue. Loan approved on Thursday, check in hand today (Monday). The refinance also drops the rate a little (and it was already exceptional).

I highly recommend Pentagon Federal.

Thanks for the help!
