I am a new hellcat Durango owner with 150 miles on it. What I noticed is the cooling fans do not come on when the car shuts off and the temperature in my garage easily goes up 95° with the car sitting in i after I’ve used it. Do I have to put it in track mode A minute or two before I’m going to shut it off. I’m not even sure if the Durango has a cooling mode in track mode

It's pretty common with these cars. I've had no issues with either of my cars with just shutting them off in the garage.

Putting a nice, big, fat, capacitor bank parallel and diode-isolated on the fan bank(s) could give you fan shutdown delay in all circumstances. The amount of time/cooling could be simply dialed in with the capacity of the capacitor bank. Your fans would be cooling coolant, but heating the garage even MORE effectively.

What I did when I had an attached garage into which I could park my car -- a Porsche at the time -- is when I pulled in with the car up to temperature I left the garage door open a few inches and had an electric floor fan that I turned on low speed and aimed at the front/underneath the car. The engine was located behind the cabin and the air scoops for directing some air to the engine compartment were located under the car so the air flowing under the car would get directed into the engine compartment.

This worked to keep help cool the car quicker and keep the garage cooler being it was not insulated and connected to my living quarters this helped to keep the living quarters cooler, too. While i had A/C the A/C ran less often.

After an hour or so I'd turn off the fan and close the garage door.

Now where I live my garage is not attached to my living quarters. I park my Scat Pack in the garage and close the door and walk away.

The longer you keep your engine at operating temperature, and the more slowly it changes temps, the better for the engine, not to mention everything else.

Thermal cycling becomes more of an enemy the more rapidly it occurs.

I just pull the car in to the garage and pop the hood to let the heat out (yes, into the garage space). That SC on top of the motor is so hot to the touch after a drive, I figured letting it cool more easily would be a benefit.

Well, at least it makes me feel better about baking the SC bearings lol
