So I have an order in with a small dealer, they have actually received one HC and delivered to the owner. However they have not received any more cars and I am sitting #3 on their list. I spoke with them today and they don't know if or when the order will get picked up.

I spent the last few days searching the country for one at MSRP. I had one at Clay Cooley and got them down to $4000k over MSRP but didn't pull the trigger because of some goofy requirements (one was $5000 non refundable deposit while I worked out financing).

I did locate another large dealer who said they have delivered about 4 cars so far with 3 more inbound. He said he has 2 people on the list and is sure he will have at least 3 allocations in March. He sells at MSRP with only $1000 down..

So should I get my order in with him since it sounds like his orders might get picked up or just stay with my current dealer? I'm inclined to place the order with the larger dealer. But I know the allocation process changed for Feb but who knows about March and beyond.

I say go ahead and place the order with the new dealer (but don't cancel the old one either). Multipronged attack.

Now from what we are gathering, he is only going to get 1 allocation in March with the new changes but who really knows. It's only a $1000 deposit (refundable I presume) so I say go for it...AND continue to look for one sitting on a lot.
