There's a little mustang like that at our track who does the 10.5 heads up. It's a 454 big block with nitrous and ran 5.86 in 5500 DA the other day. Usually it's a NT car, but it was a test and tune day and they posted the time. He was peddling it all the way down the track. Don't know what he usually runs since they don't post the time, and he may have been running a lower shot for testing. The guy's dad is a nitrous fanatic. Loves that stuff and runs it on everything.
When those cars run on our track, it's crazy. I love that it's on small tires.
Cars are so fast these days that it's pretty much to the point where the main thing is just seeing how fast you can get a particular combo to go. Heck, cars are rolling off assembly lines almost fast enough to not even be legal at an NHRA track. I can't see the NHRA lowering the 9 sec/150 mph rule. It's going to stay there, I think.
