What is considered “stock”? The car was tubbed for some humongous tires
mustang rack and control arms up front. Its what most guys use when building a race car anyways. Not sure that it is not four linked (heard it is on leaf springs) but those tires aren’t massive they only have 11” of tread. They look wide cuz they are stretched on a 14 or 15 inch wide wheel
First time through it look like he slapped her across the face. Awkward camera angle while watching on my phone. LOL.

There's a little mustang like that at our track who does the 10.5 heads up. It's a 454 big block with nitrous and ran 5.86 in 5500 DA the other day. Usually it's a NT car, but it was a test and tune day and they posted the time. He was peddling it all the way down the track. Don't know what he usually runs since they don't post the time, and he may have been running a lower shot for testing. The guy's dad is a nitrous fanatic. Loves that stuff and runs it on everything.
When those cars run on our track, it's crazy. I love that it's on small tires.
Cars are so fast these days that it's pretty much to the point where the main thing is just seeing how fast you can get a particular combo to go. Heck, cars are rolling off assembly lines almost fast enough to not even be legal at an NHRA track. I can't see the NHRA lowering the 9 sec/150 mph rule. It's going to stay there, I think.

I was trying to be the first in the 3’s a decade ago (on a bike that wasn’t top fuel) and kinda lost interest after someone beat me to it
After being away from the track for a bit I am most blown away by the advances the small tire guys have made
