Hey guys hope all is well. I'm a little frustrated now. I have not been able to use the race cool down feature since I purchased my new Redeye. It says battery will not allow it SMH but the battery is good. I have taken it to the dealership 3 times and noting if fixed. I have taken it to the track and can't get it to work. What do you guys recommend I do.
Thanks
Joe

Do you have another dealership that you can bring it to? Maybe if you say your location; someone will know a reasonably good dealer that can diagnose. Always a chance that a battery seems good, but is sort of faulty. Newer cars seem to be very quirky with batteries these days.

I had a battery that showed volts and started my car but the amps were low. Created problems like you described
Yes I was at dealer and told them the race cool down would not work due to the battery, they looked at me like I was crazy. We went for a ride and put it in race cool down and battery went green with check mark then red. “I’ve never seen that before “ I think it’s everyone’s favorite line now a days.

When the car is running its using the vehicles charging system (Alternator) for electrical power. The battery gets recharged while the engine is running if needed, and then it just goes along for the ride. The car will start with a low battery or a battery with low reserve. There is a limit to how low the voltage can be though on start up due to the massive amount of electronics they run. The low reserve could be the issue. In other words it would go dead fast if used without the car running. The system is detecting an issue so I'm surprised the Dealer would not act on it. Battery most likely is your issue.

You need a battery. Pop a new battery in there yourself. It’s not rocket science to do it and it doesnt cost rocket money. Literally a two minute swap. If that fixes it then go back to the dealer and demand a battery.
