I'll be attending a "sped ventures" racing event in Vegas at Spring mountain motor sports in Nevada. Event is on the 16th (this Saturday). I will be bringing my challenger and charger Hellcats. Wanted to extend the invite to all my. Fellow hellcat.org members. You can register at Speed Ventures - Track Events for Everyone

Please let me know if you're interested in joining. I'm not sure if aFe Power will be there as of yet. Will keep you posted on that.

If you're in town early Saturday morning, Las Vegas Cars & Coffee starts around 7:00/7:30. It's on Eastern Ave. near the 215 in the Sansone Plaza parking lot. Gets about 200 cars every Saturday.

I had to get the right angle. No other way to do it. And my weight was leaning on the door column. Which car were you driving? Did we meet or did you just take pics of me from a distance? The camera parts?

I was not at the event, a friend of mine was and took the pic's. I have my Cat on order still........I am currently driving a 09 R/T, but I still wouldn't climb on the roof of it or dump a bag of camera stuff on the deck lid for fear of scratching it up. That's just me tho as I can just barely afford 1 hellcat and will appreciate the hell out of it, not have 3 like you.

There's so many pussy drivers out there. There's no reason I should be beating an RS8 on the track by 10 seconds! Porsche turbo included. These guys take there cars to the track and Sunday drive em. I ran first place...

There was a McLaren that crashed into a Corvette Z06. First race, First Lap, First turn. The Corvette didn't know the track, so he slammed on his brakes before the turn (which was a high speed turn that I was taking at 120mph). Obviously not expecting it, the following car (McLaren) ran right into him. Pretty expensive crash. I understand both sides to their stories. The McLaren driver was pissed because the Corvette nearly came to a dead stop before the high speed turn - which is obviously something you shouldn't do...... However, he didn't know the track, so it's understandable that on the first run you need to expect something like that if you're the following driver - ESPECIALLY on the first run.

It's the new driver's responsibility to study the course to prevent unexpected driving. And it only makes sense to arrange a lead/follow for the first half-session or so, to commit the layout to practical memory.

Was this heading through T3 to T4? The wide variety of configurations at SM mean that this straight (in particular) has a couple of intersecting alternative turns that might confuse a driver that A) didn't do the homework and B) doesn't have someone to follow...

Glad they didn't collect you in the process...

T1... Right outta the gates! They were both pretty pissed (Corvette Especially). The owner of the McLaren was pretty quiet. Muttered to himself a few times that I saw...
