Installed my escort max 2 using the Blendmount and MirrorTap, went pretty good, took about an hour, little nervous, did not want to break anything, but thanks to info on these forums all went well. Also got my vanity plate, submitted a list of five that I wanted, this was last the last one, still happy with it

I used the 10" long on mine and it was the perfect length. I use a Escort 360 which has the RJ-11 connection

(I know it says Corvette but thats the only way to find it on Amazon these are universal)

I also bought the blendmount from Amazon and removed one link

Cool I purchased the blend mount for my Valentine about a week ago....I typically hard wire because I am used to Corvettes with the fuse box inside the cabin. However, this is a pain and I will give the mirror tap a try...
By the way how did you take off the plastic around the mirror so you can tap the pink and black lines?
Thanks for your time and help!
I saw that video but the plastic around a charger and the challenger is different ....but maybe similar? Maybe I will make a video on our actual one..after I break it...LOL

I just bought an Escort Redline and the direct wire power cord. My HC is a 2017, currently in transport to my dealer. Having never owned one I assumed the fuse box was in the cockpit! The cord I bought is intended to be wired into fuse box. Do you think that I can use it to tap into the mirror?

Fusebox unfortunately is not in the cabin....I do not believe that will work unless you pull apart your car to get to a wire...like this guy did: Hellcat Valentine 1 Install (BlendMount / HardTap).
.......not worth it with the available option of a mirror tap.
If you have a challenger like me ...I believe this is what you want....POST #5 above.
This is what I ordered...waiting for it to arrive then I will install.

OK thanks. I'll go ahead an order one of those.

Good luck per that webpage this is the one they recommend. This car is so new I guess that this forum does not have many DIY threads. You have to search and try to piece together information from multiple threads and then make an educated guess on everything....:(

The good news the car is so perfect OEM that there is not allot to do other then routine maintenance etc.
