While we were there, a teen class was going on at the same time in another room. I saw the parents sitting around the facility. There are a few nice rooms, etc. Food/lunch may be an issue if they don’t provide for her.

If she has no interest in sitting there, there is a casino less than 5 mins away.

 

Does she mind setting up hundreds and hundreds of traffic cones???????????

 

If she has any sensitivity to motion sickness, she will have problems.

 

My wife and I went back when it was Bondurant. When she was tired of watching the fun I was having, she took the rental car and visited whatever she wanted. Thrift stores and regular stores. She used her google maps on her phone and never had a problem. No visits to the casino so I can't tell you anything about that. Really, there isn't much for a spectator to do while your out flogging a hellcat.

 

We were out there last month, had a frickin blast btw. I rented a TRX that my wife drove around while I did the SRT experience. She drives a Ram Rebel, so this fit her well. She came back about 2pm after shopping, etc. and was able to take pictures/video of what we were doing. We paid a little for her to do hot laps with the pros at the end of the day, well worth it. The pros drove 6spd Hellcats around the track, very skilled drivers out there.

But there were a couple other wives that were just hanging around while their hubs did the experience the entire day. They didn't seem too miserable.

Thanks everyone; this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I suspect she will hang out for a while and take some pics. She can always Uber her way downtown for non-car stuff.

 

I'm going to Radford next month. My wife plans to find someplace to go horseback riding while I'm in class.

 

A side thing to do that we enjoyed was a really unique bar called Platform 18 at Century Grand

 

It's no problem. My cousin attended with me and he was allowed to watch the events from an area set up with picnic tables. Lunch won't be provided to guests, but there's plenty of places to eat in the surrounding area.

 

I went last May. Wife hung out all day. They feed her lunch with us and took her on hot laps. She enjoyed the whole day.
