Wow. That’s one I haven’t heard of going bad yet! Glad it was fixed and was in stock. Our driveshaft is a 2 piece stock right? The aftermarket driveshafts are a one piece I believe correct? I ask as I haven’t looked into it yet but before I put slicks on the car that’s one of the upgrades I will do based on what I’ve read that being a weak linkI’m sure they will resolve it. I only had that noise happen one time. On another note at 630 miles the carrier bearing on the driveshaft was squealing and clunking. I am fortunate that my dealer had a replacement in stock warranty covered it.
That is correct it’s 2 piece. The dealer said it’s more common to see the bearing fail with higher mileage. They should have made it a replaceable part. I know there is an aftermarket one that you can cut the old one out and put it in however I will let warranty cover it while I have itWow. That’s one I haven’t heard of going bad yet! So it wasn’t the starter then to begin with?No the noise came back about 2 weeks ago but I’ve had a few other things going on and haven’t been able to drop it back off yet. But at least something was done last time so they can start checking else where
