This has got louder over time, annoying as hell 2019 re challenger , having the lighted srt horn pad replaced , seems the differential noise is common issue , took service manager for a ride , he owns a 2015 hc, he acknowledged the noise , 13000 miles never tracked or abused waiting to see what there going to do.....

I’d do a gear oil swap. Probably should have been already done, not per the manual, just to get break-in crap out. Don’t forget the limited slip fluid.

My 2018 HCWB has the same noise. I’ve changed the rear end fluid with no change. I’ve decided to live with it. I just don’t to take it to the dealer. Buy the way, I just sold a 1966 street hemi that had the same issue.

A gear oil change almost never quiets a howl going down the road, a gear oil change with new additive is mainly to quiet a groan around sharp turns at low speed. A whine or howl while driving is usually a bad diff that needs to be replaced.

My 2018 Hellcat developed a rather loud rear end. Especially at speed. Decided to just live with it and if the diff was bad -- as I suspected -- I felt it would manifest clear signs of this and then I'd have this addressed under warranty.

At around 13.5K miles driver side rear tire got a puncture. Long story short I had both rear tires replaced with the same tires as the old/original pair.

With new rear tires fitted the "diff" noise gone. All that noise I could have sworn was coming from the diff proved to be tire noise.

Might add tire wear was not severe and even with no measurable difference in tread depth between the front and rear tires.

Had that same howling around 70 and above. I thought all those track passes had finished the diff off at 17k . Did a the diff fluid change using the OEM Mopar which was 2qt at $45 each. After couple hundred miles the diff has quite down at highway speeds.
