Just finished cleaning my Redeye air filter with 16k miles on it and quite satisfied with the results.
I used the S&B cleaning and oil kit.
They're supposed to have recommendations on the web site for the amount of oil needed for our specific cars but I couldn't find that. I ended up using 70 grams of oil. It's easy to tell when the white element, after cleaning, is evenly coated with the red oil. Here is the before and after.

Love your carbon fiber intake tube.
I got a extra filter so when I pull one off to clean I just put the other clean and oiled filter on.
I also put on the B Woody mesh pre-filter, it keeps all the bugs out of the filter pleats so cleaning is a little bit easier.

Where did you get the intake tube from?

I think he's referring to the pictures in the first post, how the pleats are all bent towards the narrow end of the filter.
Roger that, the guy makes an account and on his first or second post decides to bust somebody's balls for cleaning a filter and ever so slightly bending the pleats. Lol
