Making this change could very well void your warranty...Hey all. I been trying to find a new intake over stock but I don’t want to lose the air shield that works with the hood vent.
I seen Leg maker, and JLT last said a few months back they didn’t makes them for redeye chargers yet.
Let’s see some pictures or ideas. Thanks guys!
Theyre going to have a hell of a time proving an aftermarket intake was the cause of anything.Making this change could very well void your warranty...
Any intake system worth a darn is going to be in the $400 range for these vehicles.Following....I refuse to pay $400 for a Carbon Fiber tube lol The stock intake is very good but aesthetically trash lol!
It won't matter if Stellantis/FCA makes the dealer send in pictures of certain engine components and they see anything other than stock.Theyre going to have a hell of a time proving an aftermarket intake was the cause of anything.
I meant $400 for just a carbon fiber tube that replaces the stock one. Not an entirely new system.Any intake system worth a darn is going to be in the $400 range for these vehicles.
Oh lord thats a thing? Yikes.I meant $400 for just a carbon fiber tube that replaces the stock one. Not an entirely new system.
It absolutely will matter. If you have a rod decide to make an appearance through your block there is going to be a miniscule chance your air intake had any cause. Aftermarket parts dont void your warranty unless they were a cause of the problem. It won't matter if Stellantis/FCA makes the dealer send in pictures of certain engine components and they see anything other than stock.
^^ That was confirmed by my own service manager! It absolutely will matter. If you have a rod decide to make an appearance through your block there is going to be a miniscule chance your air intake had any cause. Aftermarket parts dont void your warranty unless they were a cause of the problem.
Magnuson Moss Warranty Act 😁It won't matter if Stellantis/FCA makes the dealer send in pictures of certain engine components and they see anything other than stock.

They don't have to prove anything to you on the spot, they will simply say we are denying this claim. Now what do you do?It absolutely will matter. Doesn't help with a modification where you replace the factory CAI. It's designed to protect you when you use replacement parts like a non-OEM filter itself. They've been through this many times and no OEM is afraid of Mag Moss. They will deny your claim and now you need to lawyer up yo fight them and good luck with that.Magnuson Moss Warranty Act![]()
First, find a dealership that isnt a piece of crap. Second, get in writing how the cold air intake cause his rear taillights to short out. They don't have to prove anything to you on the spot, they will simply say we are denying this claim. Now what do you do?

A good dealer is definitely good to have but for a major engine issue, FCA will demand pics and computer scans and any evidence of mods. So even a good dealer can get pushed aside in a major repair.First, find a dealership that isnt a piece of crap. Second, get in writing how the cold air intake cause his rear taillights to short out.
They don't have to prove anything (and who would they have to prove it too, anyway? Is there a warranty judge I don't know about?). When a claim is made for a repair they will require photos of the engine from the dealer. Those photos will be what they use to deny your claim. If pressed, they will tell you to read your warranty paperwork.Theyre going to have a hell of a time proving an aftermarket intake was the cause of anything.
