Just got a '22 redeye charger and I'm not really digging the sound. Any brand suggestions that won't throw codes (just bolt on/no tuning).
What I have seen so far, that the mid mufflers have changed compared to the previous Hellcats, which are equipped with the round ones, where as the new Redeye models have like the more square ones which have also been equipped on the Scat Packs

Custom exhaust systems are built… not bought

Send your car to someone like SpinTech if you can not build a custom system your self

A few years back Chargers also got the 4-inch round mufflers and were louder than Challengers, never could figure that one out.

Another vote for the Borla Atak exhaust.
I put one on the wife's Trackhawk, really wasn't planning on installing a aftermarket exhaust on my Challenger Redeye but her car sounded amazing.
Borla makes a few different exhaust for our cars varying in different sound levels.
I installed the Atak with active valves and very happy with the sound.
Borla's website has many different sound clips and videos to demonstrate their exhausts.
No codes.
There is another exhaust manufacturer that gives more of a old-school sound for our cars however I cannot remember the name.
I think @Linda's Hell Cat has mentioned it.

That would be AWE Touring or Track.

The Borla Atak sucks if you have diff brace. It constantly hits and is very annoying.
I'm putting on a AWE. I heard one in person and I like the sound better as well as not having the clearance issues.

Just do a resonator delete and some high flow cats. Cats arent needed tho to sound a LOT louder but will flow better when u start modifying it.

Lol, well I have the a diff brace and the Borla.
They don't hit each other, so what may suck for you doesn't necessarily suck for everybody else. 🙂

Ordering parts that work together in a harmonious fashion is a key element especially when space is at a premium.
And here is a great example,
In the drop-down menu there is an option to get the brace that is Borla exhaust specific. This has added clearance built into the brace so they don't hit each other.

That's EXACTLY what I have.

I am also not the only person I know with the same issue.
SOOOOO just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone.

So by your logic if people have a problem they SHOULDN'T say anything to people asking for input on exhaust systems???

More information is better than less.

The cars are not all exactly the same when they come off the line. Had a couple drive shaft shops tell me they have seen flange to flange dimensions vary by a whole inch. It starts with the hood gap and can increase or decrease as you move towards the rear : )

If you want a fat system and want it tucked and don’t want it to ever hit anything pulling timing custom build it. Ain’t rocket science

The Top Brands are all well made.

The AWE is installed on my Hellcat Charger.

It's true about the Old school Muscle sound. I asked about it and get many compliments on the sound.

Joshua Schwartz owner of Highhorseperformance.com worked directly with AWE for placement and NO codes thrown.

I'd give HHP sales a call and ask them about the different brands in stock. 18888941115

But I do really do think the AWE exhaust is the Best sounding exhaust on the planet!😎

Whoa whoa whoa, settle down there Mordecai before you vapor lock.
I really tried to word that in a fun non-offensive way as to not offend any delicate sensitivities. I even added a "LOL" and a smiley face emoji.
But I'm going to guess with the amount of O's you put in so and the all caps yelling type of the word shouldn't, I have offended you.
So let me take this opportunity to apologize for anything I have said or done that bothered you.
You are 100% right, the more information the better and that's what these forums are all about, getting information out there.

For Hellcats, I like the following: Gibson, Awe, and StainlessWorks.

I've lost almost all like for Borla. There's a Borla performance system on my C8 and it sounds like total s-h-i-tea. It's somehow too quiet and annoyingly pitchy at the same time. As soon as I get 5 grand together to change it out, it's the next thing on the list. I've tried Borlas on some of my Mustangs. I never liked the ATAKs... they're just loud for loudness' sake. Fairly bad all around sound quality... again, pitchy and poppy but just loud.

Borla used to be a top end premium manufacturer where they seemingly put a lot of work into getting good sound quality, but this hasn't been true for many years now. It all changed, I think, when they started making the majority of their money by selling mufflers to companies like Roush, who just rebrand the basic Borla pass-through style mufflers with Roush stamps... but there's Borla stamps and part numbers on the muffler still. I've read that Borla makes something like 60% of their revenue from this process... so they no longer have to survive solely off making top quality premium exhausts for sale direct to consumers when they can just stamp out trash mufflers and sell to other manufacturers for more money.

I am personally a big fan of StainlessWorks and their retro style design. If you like how classic muscle cars sound, that's what you get with SW. To me, Gibson and Awe sound very similar, both sound good. The Gibson catback kit is about $500 cheaper, the last time I checked, which was admittedly a couple years ago.

Some people prefer 304 over 409, not all people tho. Some people are ok with slip joints and crimp style clamps while others prefer v-band connections

Some people like poppin n bangin, some don’t. Some ppl like a raspy frequency at wot while others do not. Some like drone : )

Having a map does not do a whole lotta good if ya do not know where you are trying to go…
