Honestly, I think anything shorter than the 3.55 area will only cause the tires to spin through third gear. 3.70 seems a bit short to me. The 3.92s in the '09 6-speed gave me fits launching it without wheel-spin or wheel-hop. A 2nd gear start didn't help either....
I can only imagine how tough it will be launching a 3.70 geared 707HP car without breaking the rears free on a regular basis - even on a prepped track.

Whenever I see gearing where first goes to 60mph or just beyond I assume the manufacturer's goal was a faster 0-60 time by eliminating the need to shift.

.....of course, you have to have the engine to pull it there, which in this case, isn't an issue.
